First time getting an implant
Hi everyone, I had an implant fitted on Friday to see if it will help with my periods. I get really heavy bleeding, immense cramps to the point I can’t move in both my lower abdomen and lower back, I’m constantly tired and haven’t found any painkillers that help with the pain. I was wondering what

Post dental treatment
Wondering how you are all doing? Just has some dental treatment this week and thought I was doing okay after it but now feeling the effects. Why does dental treatment do that? I made sure to ensure I didn't have adrenal in local aneasthetic, checked I wasn't sensitive to the ingredients in the filling

Hi I’ve been suffering from haemorrhoids for a few months. It’s been getting better very gradually by eating a very high fibre diet to keep my stool very soft. But this has had the side effect of causing urgency several times a day. It’s making it very difficult to leave the house. I’ve had ibs for

Stopping Kevzara
I have had to stop my Sarilumab jabs, yet again, because my white cells have dropped again. I have been off the drug for over three weeks now and have heard nothing since my last blood test. I expected to feel gradually worse without it but I don't. I still have the pain and take my painkillers, but

Diverticulitis
I am 75 years old. On Thursday morning I awoke with terrible abdominal pain and diarrhoea followed by heavy blood loss. I was very frightened. I went to A and E where I was looked after really well. They gave me painkillers and X-rays and a CT scan. I had diverticulitis and inflammation of sigmoid colon

Pain relief medication
Hi there, I had a stent fitted in LAD in 2021. Have a mild to moderate aortic leaky valve. I also have two slipped discs in lower back. For the most part, I have no pain or restricted movement. Every now and again, I’m in excruciating pain with my back for a few days, then all goes back to normal

Mother in pain
My 88 year old mother has severe osteoporosis and kyphosis. She has episodes of severe back pain under her shoulders, which I am assuming is due to vertebral fractures of the spine. She uses a heating pad, over the counter pain medicine, and Tylenol with codeine when she cannot tolerate the pain anymore

PMR Review with GP
Further to my previous two posts, I had my appointment with the GP today, which was interesting. No mention of fibro. Yay! Mind you, this was the same doc I saw right after diagnosis and the guy who sent me off next day to the hospital ophthalmologist to get my eyes checked out to make sure that I

My story
Given the start of my Seropositive RA in 2005. I had bad experiences with most of the traditional RA meds prescribed. I never really understood why doctors only seemed to give medication which would suppress the immune system. Generally I felt this approach was making me feel much worse. So for many
