Merry Christmas!
Well, I had my mask making and CT scan last Monday, MRI the previous week (no results yet), and I have my Lorazepam in hand ready to start 5 weeks of
radiotherapy
on 9th Jan, so I'm now ready to enjoy Christmas and the New Year's Eve party.

tumour and menopause
I had a seizure June 21 and they found a tumour on my temporal lobe. Had it removed, well as much as they could and they also found another small one where they can’t operate. Found out it was grade 4 but since then had radio therapy and a years chemo pills. Through all this I felt ok with little side

Anxious about radiotherapy
I was thinking that I might need a couple of sessions of
radiotherapy
after finishing my chemo but have just been told that I’ll have 25 sessions over 5 weeks with 2 further chemo (cisplatin) in weeks 1 and 4.

Rise in PSA after Radiation
I had radiation to my right hip. The Ro could see that the Radiation was effective. I was advised to stop taking all antioxidants. during Radiation treatment. A month ago my PSA was 21 and now it’s at 37. I am disappointed. I am currently on Ereleada. . My theory is that lack of taking the antioxidants

First PSA result after treatment
My dads original PSA was 39 before treatment. He is stage 4 (4+3 Gleason) and cancer spread to some local lymph nodes and one intra-abdoninal lymph node, making it stage VI. No bone spread. My father completed 44 rounds of radiation treatment 1 month ago. A very arduous journey of exhaustion. Had

Update, tumor in lymph node
I had a meeting with my oncologist yesterday about the findings from the PSMA Pet Scan. This is the reply I got. Any comments? "PSMA-PET shows a PSMA-positive lymph node medially for the iliac externa vessels on the left side. This is located in the mesentery. The urologist states that surgery is

Uncle, 83, active, asymptomatic, no diseases other than PC, had RT early 2019, with post- surgical PSA detected at low level, followed by radiation therapy, after which low level psa still persisted but did not increase significantly until recently when it jumped to 3.5, more than doubling in 6 month

Financial Toxicity
I was following a trail of links regarding new and developed radiotherapies for advanced PCa. I found a new term that I had not seen before: Financial Toxicity. The one paper said that higher FT was linked to more aggressive cancers. Well, DUH! I've not seen anywhere where the cost of treatments

PSA "negative" PSMA positive metastasis
I believe that one should be vigilant in this disease. With that said I had a follow-up PSMA PET/CT March 13, 2023. It demonstrated a PSMA avid lesion anterior to L3 and behind the Aorta, consensus was that this did not represent an anatomical variant of the celiac ganglion. My PSA was at the time
