If you have minimal disease you could be a candidate for very localized
radiotherapy
which could control the disease for a reasonable time. Another approach would be to restart anti testosterone therapy which would need to be continued indefinitely.

New bone met
I have a consult with radiation oncologist on Wednesday and wanted to ask if any of you have had very targeted radiation therapy to one small new spot on bone when your systemic treatment (Ibrance and Letrozole) is still working on other mets. I saw there is SBRT and IMRT. Are these appropriate options

Silicon Cock Rings and Blood In My Pee!
Do any of my fellow unfortunate PC travellers out there know if using a stretchy silicon cock ring could aggravate the post-RP scar tissue and radiation enhanced vascularity in my bladder neck/urethra so much so that I get blood in my urine. Been using fairly tight stretchy silicone rings for a few

Tamoxifen switch to Femara (letrozole)
Also, I am wondering if anyone with HR+/HER2- stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma with no lymph node involvement removed through lumpectomy followed by 3 weeks of
radiotherapy
has just chosen not to take the anti-estrogen meds and what led you to that decision. thanks for an insights!

Aorto-caval lymph nodes
Has anyone had radiation treatment to the aorto-caval lymph nodes? I have mildly avid nodes there that are not responding to Lupron. My RO wants to treat the entire area, not just spot treat with Cyberknife. He seems confident he can safely treat the area.

hemochromatosis?
Can pelvic radiation therapy cause hemochromatosis? I went through 44 days of EBRT and six months later diagnosed with hemochromatosis which I've never had in my 73 years.

When the drugs don’t work
Where to begin… my poor Mum had her first hip replacement in 2007, but it broke and she had a revision in 2008. Unfortunately she was in more pain than ever, and they were about to write the pain off as psychological but thankfully she got referred to an Orthopaedic Specialist hospital who discovered

Rash from RT?
My husband is on Radiation treatment 31 of 45. Diagnosed with Gleason 7 (4+3), PSA 4.9 with all indications that it is contained in the prostate, negative bone scan, etc;. My question is, he is getting an itchy rash and some puffiness in his pubic area just above his privates. Has anyone experienced

TURP and Prostatectomy
I am looking at a prostatectomy, but I had a TURP 8 yrs ago. How does this change the risk factors and my potential quality of life for a prostatectomy? If I did radiation therapy, they would like me to have another TURP to remove some of the prostate that is growing into the bladder before starting

As there had only been one lesion seen on lower left lung I was offered
radiotherapy
. After last scan which showed another lesion adjacent to the first, I am told that '
radiotherapy
is off the table'. At present awaiting conclusions of MDT.

Groin pain
I had intense radiation therapy 6 months ago and all seems to be going well; however, a dull pain (sometimes pretty intense) has developed in my right groin. I can’t think of any way that I might have injured this area, and I’m wondering if there is any correlation with my treatment.
