I had radiotherapy on the tip of my nose 8 weeks ago. The scabs inside and outside of my nose has healed but the skin radiated on my nose which was bigger than the actual bcc is looking horrible. Will this eventually get better or am I stuck with it ? Thanks

does anyone know how long one should wait before discontinuing meds after salvage SBRT to see if it was effective? It’s been around 2 months and my next meeting with my MO is Jan 3. I’m supposed to get a 3 mo eligard injection at this time…..should I forego this injection?…..RO is not my primary doc

My mum completed her radiotherapy on August 15th. Her hair is growing back nicely and today, she was scheduled to have it coloured at a hairdressers and remove her wig, which understandably is a big deal for her.

Hi Folks, I had pelvic radiotherapy in 2019 in Scotland. Piece by piece working through things now. Will join chat together next week.I'm 45 now had 5 weeks radiotherapy then anterior resection.

I have put off having salvage radiation therapy for over six-years now. But my Post- RP (August 2018) PSA level has doubled from 0.09 in June '23 to 0.19 in June '24, and doubled again to 0.40 in December 2024. A visit with a radiation oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Center on December 16 confirmed

He’s waiting to get stronger painkillers but ideally he wants radiotherapy on the spot that’s causing the pain. However his doctor has told him he’s not over keen on radiating the spot as it’s ‘close to major organs’ and may cause other damage. Should we push for radiotherapy anyway?

My consultant recommendation is SABR radiotherapy. I'm scared of the immediate side effects and the long time side effects. Has anyone else had this type of radiotherapy on a liver tumor? If so, can you please tell me what to expect? How many sessions? What immediate and long term side effects?

Rashes and soreness can be as a consequence of radiotherapy. It feels sort of bruised over the area, which can be costochondritis, which my RA consultant thought my soreness was, when I saw her a few weeks back.

Does anyone have any positive stories to share that have had full brain radiotherapy. We have been told that they do a scan if they have reduced then have targeted radiotherapy on the brain.

It can be triggered by radiotherapy.

Started cancer journey in 2015 had chemo and radiotherapy 2018 had a double mastectomy in May 2024 ………recovered quite well but now reality has set in and I’m struggling to get through day to day tasks and work .

i had triple negative breast cancer in 2016 treated with chemo and radiation,cancer also triggered diffuse scleroderma,i have since read thar radiotheraphy can cause aortic stenosis, has anyone ,had radiotherapy and linked it to aortic therapy.

Currently undergoing radiotherapy (day 30 of 39 tomorrow !). On hormone treatment, Apalutimide and 3 monthly injections. Best Mac

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2005 and was given a TURP I THEN HAD RADIOTHERAPY TO THE PROSTATE 30 SESSIONS AFTER WHICH MY Prostate was removes in 2014 ,then I had several bladder knock insisions to clear the stricter.but now have asuprapubic catheter to drain my bladder.

My husband is scheduled to have radiotherapy on Wednesday. This will hopefully stop, or at least slow down the cancer growing in his liver. He will also have radiotherapy on a hip bone which has started to cause some pain. Hopefully he will get some relief from this.
