Advice, tips or words of strength - son struggling to cope with dad's terminal diagnosis
My father (76 yrs) was recently diagnosed with a GBM4 and is due surgery next week before he goes on to start
radiotherapy
. He has been given really poor odds of surviving 2 years given the size of his tumour (55mm x 45mm x 35mm).

radiotherapy , 1 session to Sacrum, anyone had a 1 session palliative dose.
My main issue is still the progression in sacrum which I had 3
radiotherapy
sessions for in Nov 2020 and they worked well until a month ago. That’s how my original diagnosis was made for sacrum pain.

Anyone any experience of PMR,and radiotherapy for breast cancer
Hi, Following diagnosis of PMR in February 2022, I now require
radiotherapy
after lumpectomy for lobular cancer. I am especially interested in the level of fatigue experienced during
radiotherapy
. Thanks Jane

Legal issues when/if you tell your employer you have PC and need an extended treatment?
I'm trying to get my radiation treatment scheduled (combo brachytherapy + 5 weeks of xray beam (IMRT?). Are there any recommended resources around protections from being let go by your employer due to the time off I might need? The company I work for is based in California but I work full time remote

12 months hormone therapy done.
I have just completed 12 month ADT and have my annual meeting with Consultant on Monday. Had RP 2 years ago with recurrence 12 months ago in one lymph node. Origonal plan was radio therapy and 12 to 18 months of ADT. Following previous advice on here it seems 2 years ADT offers best outcome. I have

Dad diagnosed with Grade 4 gliboblastoma February
He had surgery which removed 75% of the cancer and has received
radiotherapy
which finished about 6 weeks ago. Since then my dad has been so confused and debilitated, going from a strong healthy man who has an opinion on everything to being very confused, scared and immobile.

Hello Good People A part of my kidney has been operated.
I did the surgery robot-assisted kidney resection a tumor 1.6cm , it took 3 hours and they have stopped blood to the kidney for 17 minutes, and it was 7 holes on my stomach area. The operation was good and I stayed for 4 days with the full control. I will use Fragmin 5000 small injection

I see a lot of people being offered
radiotherapy
as well - is this something that could help? Or is
radiotherapy
something to consider further down the line? - would he benefit from taking vitamin D supplements? Or are there any other supplements that could help?

Has anyone had metastatic prostate cancer and had surgery?
Do you think
radiotherapy
makes more sense or surgery? What is your story or suggestion in this difficult choice?

New primary Breast Cancer! Grade three lobular triple negative! Unrelated to my MBC. Time frame for surgery?
I am assuming I will have a mastectomy as it is already 6 x 5 cm, and perhaps
radiotherapy
after that. I’ve been told it is unusual to have two different breast cancers so will be tested for the BRCA 1 & 2 gene!

Docetaxel didn't work, what's next?
In January 2020, he was commenced on LUPRON with a plan to continue that for several years and consider consolidative local
radiotherapy
to the prostate and pelvis if he responded. His PSA did drop to 0.23 in March 2020 but then began to rise again in the summer of 2020.

Recurrence after radiation.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and completed radiation treatment in 2017. Recently my PSA number has increased to 2.4 and my urologist scheduled a pylarify test. The results identified two lymph nodes and the left seminal vessel as areas of concern. An appointment with an oncologist was scheduled

New cancer treatment immuno therapy combined with guadecitabine in lung, breast, prostate bowel cancer makes cancer visible to immune sys
Immunotherapy uses the immune system to target and kill cancer cells, and can save lives when other treatment options, such as surgery,
radiotherapy
or chemotherapy, have failed. However, it cannot help all patients, and some tumours can evolve to resist it.

Cabergoline use in Treatment of Orgasmic Disfunction?
Anyone know anything about it, or used it? 2 years or so out from having a prostatectomy and subsequent radiation treatment. Can get erections, but orgasms not the same (besides the lack of ejaculation). Link to a study below: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4822480/
