Hi folks. Completed my radiotherapy treatment in July 2022 for prostate cancer.Starting to pass a little blood and mucus in my stools at times. Was wondering if this was a delayed response to the radiotherapy. Has anyone else experienced this ?

Thanks in advance

I never experienced those symptoms after the radiotherapy, but rectal symptoms may appear months and even years after radiotherapy treatment of the pelvis. If they persist you could consult with a GI doctor.

I had such a bout of radiation proctitis about 3 months after the end of RT. RO prescribed hydrocortisone suppositories and it cleared up in a few days.

Thank you Vynbal. Will give my oncologist a ring and a chat.👍
