A bit of history… Fractured my spine 14 years ago, housebound for months on Codeine that made me zombie like. Changed to Tramadol which allowed me to return to work, driving etc. GP added Gabapentin approx 10 years ago because body got used to dose of Tramadol and couldn’t go any higher on dose, it

Hi all, been reading boosts with interest but also sometimes with sheer horror - sorry….. I’ve been experiencing all the symptoms that most of you have described - mainly pain and severe stiffness in pelvic region, lower back and knees. Often quite debilitating. Recent bloods suggesting PMR which I’d

AMD Injection Procedure
This is based on a response I gave to a regular poster that I think may be of more general interest, especially to those who have not yet had an injection or who are experiencing post injection discomfort. Note that the following applies to wet AMD only. I’ve been having injections for wet AMD for

Deep infiltrating adenomyosis and fertility issues.
Hi, has anyone here had experienced adenomyosis cysts deep in the uterus ? 'bulky uterus' After a trip to AandE early this year with hysterical pain I had another ultrasound and mri which found a cyst deep in the wall of my uterus. so I went for another laparoscopy with the consultant wanting to 'leave

Coming off pramipexole but pausing for surgery
I was given a date for my mastectomy of October 4 so I decided to continue my pramipexole reduction until nearer the time. I am down to half a tablet a day, from a full tablet a day. I am going to pause now though as they brought my surgery forward to next week. 😬 eek Overall I am ok. I have had

Thyroid health
Hi - my 17 year old daughter has been experiencing hair loss and hair thinning. She attributed it to having got Cold but that was over a year ago now. She is stressed with all the A level work she has to do and trying to do well so that she goes to the university of her choice which requires high grades

I would like to see a discussion of T4 & T3 Conversion. I believe I was dx with Hypothyroid and placed on Levo that made me sick.
Out of the blue on a random PE lab I was dx with hypothyroid because of an elevated TSH. I had no sx and had been walking 2 miles 3 times a week, eating reasonably well no junk or fast food pretty much ever, not a big water drinker. After 4 3/4 years of feeling like how they describe amphetamine users

codeine
hi all, I have withdrawn from my DA . Had a range of unsuccessful and unpleasant treatments. After 6 months I have stabilised on approximately 18-35 mg Codeine 2-4 nights a week. My query is whether people have found codeine has any mental health effects as it seems to give me anxiety & moodiness. Wondering

Low iodine diet?
Much advice here to be careful to not add iodine supplements to diet with hypothyroid- but taking this a step further should we not all be careful to cut back on all the foods with the most iodine eg fish and prawns etc I read an article from someone who actively advises clients to cut back on these

upper right quadrant pain
anyone else get really painful pain here on their period. I have been for years - I don’t see how it can’t be related to my cycle when it comes with every period like clockwork. But when I’ve had scans etc for gynae pain and heavy periods I’ve been told the two things aren’t related. I’m a little
