Really starting to worry. :(
So for the past 5 years I’ve been getting pains around my right shoulder blade area after I eat anything or it can come on when walking. Went to see my GP who put it down to a rotator cuff injury, which I was sceptical about but because it didn’t cause me much hassle, I left it. Fast forward to 9 weeks

Bovine thyroid supplements
Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone has good experiences with bovine thyroid supplements from new zealand. After changing from armour (which worked perfectly) to erfa (not so good for me) to synthetic L thyroxine and cytomel, I gained a lot of weight. Would novothyral be better? I have a new orthomelcular

A new path - 2 weeks after Aortic Valve and Root Op
Hi all I can't quite believe that 2 weeks ago I'd just left operating theatre. Over the past week I've: - reduced meds down to 4 plus occassional) codeine - ventured out of house for walks round the block - arranged stitch (drains) removal and BP/HR appointment - had glass of wine with tea! I've started

Just managed to talk my consultat about not having RAI and Give the block and replace another go. He said if I have another relapse that i will have to go for it. Why do they push RAI over block and replace? Surely as we know that once it's done it's done and no going back. I am 42 and dont want to give

Kelp
Would this supplement help or hinder? I have read different opinions on the benefits of iodine for thyroid. I'm interested to know what others think of it. Thank you. One Sea Kelp 300mg tablet provides: Kelp 300mg (Fucus Vesiculosis) provided by Kelp extract (20:1) 15mg providing: Iodine 150μg

Hi everyone, am new to this, I just wondered if anyone else suffers from this with Graves’ disease
I’ve recently been diagnosed with graves, am not on any treatment at the moment after having iodine treatment before Xmas. Does anyone suffer from joint pain? My hands and feet ache a lot. And I feel like my legs are really heavy , I am struggling to get regular blood test done because of the COVID,

Update feel much better
Dear All Wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support you showed me over the last few days . Hubby had a pain management review with GP and was prescribed codeine phosphate with paracetamol. I wasn’t convinced with this due to bad reviews of codeine so decided to stick

Coming off the pill
After my last period I have stopped taking the pill (I’ve been taking it for 11 years) as me and my partner are trying for a baby. My period is meant to be due 9th August, I’ve heard it’s likely to be extremely painful and quite heavy? Has anyone else experienced this? Will I still be able to take my

Do we have Graves antibodies forever, even after RAI?
I was hyper in 1987, and in my medical records one endo mentioned Graves, and one mentioned Hashimotos thyroiditis. There's no record of any antibody tests, just high T4 and low TSH. I had carbimazole and PTU, but relapsed afterwards, so was given RAI in 1989, and have been very hypo ever since. I

Hyperthyroidism and treatment question
I recently got diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. My doctor has told me it's either RAI or surgery and I am trying to understand whether this is the normal course of action or whether people would tend to be put on medication first. My doctor seemed very reluctant to give medication. I live in Japan, so
