Reintroduction of gluten into my diet and possible iodine deficiency
Hi everyone, Following on from my post about 4 months ago and suggestions made in reply by SlowDragon and Greygoose, I reintroduced gluten into my diet as an experiment after more than two years of being gluten-free. The plan was to see if I felt any different and if my antibodies would go up again -

Back pain - anyone got anything similar?
Ok, so here’s the story... 23rd June - woke up with pain in my left SI joint. Could literally pinpoint it to that spot. I’ve had a sore back before, but it was just muscle pain from overuse and was never over the SI joint. Standing and walking were both painful, and the pain disappeared when I sat or

Hyper + Neutropenia
The plan now seems to be to keep me off carbimazole to avoid neutropenia, and have
radioactive
iodine
. The problem is that my appointment is 2 months away! And I’m not really willing to let my FT3/FT4 continue to climb more than they already have.

Thyroid eye Disease - a couple of questions
•If I chose to have
radioactive
iodine
treatment, would that stop the eye condition for ever? (I read that I should not have
radioactive
iodine
treatment while I have TED as that can make it worse). Thank you kindly.

Stage 5 Endo at age 27.
I've had stage 5 endometriosis for 5 years now, I first got diagnosed after 3 years of constant visits to the doctor who would just send me off with even more painkillers to try until 2017 when they sent me for my first laproscopy. It was successful for the first 5 months until I went for a check up

Good morning everyone,I hope you are all in the best possible health and ready for a sunny day. I am still waiting for my rheumy to come forward with her conclusion regarding my diagnosis, and her action plan. I know she wants to take me off steroids and put me on MXT believing steroids have damaged me

Hello. I am glad I found this website to allow me to post my questions. My thyroid lab markets are always in the "normal" range so my doctor always says I am fine. I have all the symptoms of a low thyroid. I am a male, age 63, and have had most of the low thyroid symptoms for 30 years. Below is my most

T3 can cause you to have a heart attack
That is what a consultant enocrinologist said to me on Friday. My telephone appointment with my usual endo was cancelled and he was the substitute. I've just watched the proceedings in the Scottish parliament and it was categorically stated in the evidence given that there are no clinical reasons why

Hi everyone, hope your all coping with lockdown. The new consultant (same clinic) I've been seeing since January after reading my notes put me on monthly inj....I think it's because other consultant kept me on 8 weekly even though they stopped inj in left eye due to scarring ( I was told)...although

Help for severe possible endo pain?
Hi, I’m currently awaiting scans and a laparoscopy to diagnose probable endometriosis but this has been significantly delayed due to doctors complacency and then the covid outbreak. Every period I have is utter hell. The flow and pain are severe, and I can barely leave bed. Going to the toilet also
