A Desperate New Mom Really Needs Your Help - Surgery or Radioactive or Carbimazole

Just wondering if any of you who have/had goitres also had ever used topical iodine to cleanse wounds?

Too much iodine
I see a functional doc here in the US. I have blood drawn monthly and usually things are mostly fine. A little over two months ago my bloodwork showed my iodine level to be low, he told me to supplement so I did. I was feeling fine, had my bloodwork last month which showed my iodine had gone back to

Radioactive Iodine Treatment or Thyroidectomy?

Does Tramadol cause rls
My mum has been taking tramadol for 10+ years. She initially took it for pain and then later when diagnosed with rls, she continued to take it. 7 weeks ago I took my mum to the gp as gabapentin was not helping any more, gp gave her pregabalin 75mg twice a day. After this she had an appointment with

Ongoing lower pain- any advice as desperate for help
Hi. I wonder if anyone knows what the severe pain I get over my groin area is? Its also outside my vagina and the pain is like a dagger being twisted constantly. Only thing that eases it is strong codeine together with hot water bottle and laying down. It is very tiring. Have had bowel and gyni specialists

Can anyone explain what happened to me?
For the past few years I have thought that I was lactose intolerant so I switched to lactose free milk for my morning coffee and cereal and everything seemed to be much more comfortable stomach wise. Dopamine agonist withdrawal
Hello to all, I am looking for advice, support and somewhere to whine. I wrote before as I have got off a daily dose of SR pramipexole .75 mg and 1 tab sinemet 100/25. I took 6 weeks to do it . My dr wanted me to do it more quickly but I did not, having struggled through the whole misery once before

Carbimazole side effects
I am quite intolerant of Carbimazole - liver enzymes are abnormal and my white cell count is low -neutropenia and really sore gums/teeth. All a reaction to the meds but my Endocrynologist insists the alternatives medications are not much better. It’s take the meds or surgery or RA Iodine - my anti-bodies

2nd question re Hashimotos
I didn't have any replies to earlier request for advice today so perhaps no-one has Hashimotos on this forum? Diagnosed today- 2nd question is what dietary changes are wise and what effect does iodine have- seems to be conflicting advice - particularly re fish so quite unsure here.

Conversion problems :(
My endo strongly insisted that I should not take T3 or even increase T4. We almost had an argument and at the end he was really angry. So we reached a compromise I increased my T4 from 75mcg to 100mcg and these are the results. TSH 0.02 ( 0.30-4.20) FT4 26.5 ( 12.00-22.00) FT3 4.4 (3.10-6.80) previously

So once again I have another appointment at the doctors due to being in constant pain. Codeine does not seem to work. Does anyone have any suggestions for any other pain killers that have worked for them? Thanks

Vaping CBD and IVF
I don't know if anyone will be able to give a definitive answer to this as I know there is little research into the effects of vaping and even less into CBD, but I'll give it a go. I have a chronic pain condition which has recently flared up with constant severe pain in my shoulder. I've been prescribed

Thyroid Cancer twice..!
Had hashi then thyroid cancer 10 years ago. 3 years it came back after having RAI and lateral neck dissection! My TSH levels are suppressed 0.02 which is good however my T4 has been abnormally high for over a year. My consultant reduced my Levi from 175 to 150 6 months ago but its still really high.

"... thyroid stimulatory hormone (TSH) and prostate specific antigen (PSA) ..."
New study from Hungary [1]. Odd to think that the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) might affect PSA, or vice versa. "PSA levels were higher in patients with TSH below (n = 405) than in those with TSH within reference range (TSH 0,35-4,95 mU/ml) (n = 6698) (PSA level: 1.118 [0.639-2.338] vs. 0.920 [0.508

summary of a visit to my neurologist
Since I havent seen my neurologist in about TWO YEARS, I had a bunch of questions for him. here they are and here are his answers: Any value in genetic testing? No. Should we test my gut bacteria? No. Would Stem cell replacement be beneficial? Still experimental. No. Have you ever heard of the Marty
