Before you reach your quit date, try to understand what part of smoking actually satisfies you....
Only you are able to recognise and answer any of the above for yourself then you can work on the next step of moving towards your
quit
date. The key to successfully stop
smoking
and staying stopped, is all in the thinking, planning and preparing beforehand.

Pain in my finger joints.
Before quitting, When the Nic content ran low, a strange twitch developed in my fingers joints, and I had to snap my fingers (or toes). I have quit all forms of Nicotine for a month now and all this time I have a permanent dull pain in all my finger joints (nothing in toes). And the urge to snap fingers

New to couch to 5k, lots of questions. Please help
[I have recently
quit
smoking
3weeks without now, so time to tackle weight!] I'm worried about looking silly, either at the gym or down the country walkways near me :/ I have no idea what kind of trainers to get, any ideas? Keep in mind I'm a student and can't afford any expensive ones.

Does this mean that it's another week under your belts of being smoke free or are you another step closer to making that decision to
quit
smoking
and set a
quit
date? For those of you who have stopped already, how are you feeling on a scale of 1 to 10?

Before you reach your quit date, try to understand what part of smoking actually satisfies you....
Here is a simple thought provoking exercise to try before your
quit
date; 1. Don't worry about stopping
smoking
but become really aware of each cigarette or roll up that you smoke and the whole process of smoking each individual one. What do you believe you really enjoy about it?

Heading towards the first week
Sunday evening will be a week without
smoking
. Last Wednesday I went along to a
quit
smoking
drop in clinic. I came away feeling more positive and with a prescription for some Nicorette mouth spray. I'm finding the spray.works well in keeping a check on cravings.

If you are struggling to
quit
smoking
think of it as a challenge for your mind. How many times do you make excuses?

I have just been diagnosed with COPD - still

but hoping to

- have been put on an inhaler called spiriva. My breathing seems a little better since taking it but my head and nose is now completed bunged up - is this normal with this inhaler?

So tired all the time
Prior to this happening, I was getting into shape by doing alot of walking, had
quit
smoking
8 months prior and was feeling pretty good. Today, I have ringing in my ears, but the worst is the tiredness. I always need a nap which I never had to do before.
