Once you have reached your quit date...
1. DON’T SMOKE! 2. Remember the rule of N.O.P.E! Not One Puff Ever! 3. Ask people you live with not to smoke around you. Spend time with non-smokers. 4. Keep busy, stay active – try walking, exercising or doing other activities. 5. Drink lots of water. 6. Begin using the nicotine replacement

Does anyone else have this weird feeling? I've quit smoking for nearly 13 weeks and I've started getting this weird feeling.
It feels like my stomach is turning over and I feel a bit anxious. It lasts for seconds. When it happens I feel a bit breathless so I take a few deep breathes and then it passes.

The sun has got his hat on
Well the sun has made an appearance lets hope the wind drops and I can get out for my daily walk, the exercise always helps to dislodge more phlegm for me which after a coughing fit actually makes me feel much better, going to concentrate on drinking more water today, too much alcohol consumed last few

Hi all
When I
quit
smoking
). The relaxation techniques I had been doing have really started to take effect now. Making me more relaxed during the day and being able to calm myself down quickly during high anxiety and panic attacks.

Hi new here.
I found this site while I was on
quit
support. I'm four months giving up
smoking
. During my
quit
I was digasoned with GAD. I have always had some anxiety, fear of heights, but developed health anxiety because of a cough that wouldn't go away (I also coughed up a little blood).

I'm off the ecig (well for now anyway !!)
Recovering from a chest infection with a bout of possibly the worst asthma I've had in a long while. (I'm only very mildly asthmatic but this time has been hard) However as they say, every cloud has a silver lining & just didn't want to use my ECig so I'm officially nicotine free since Sunday :)

When will I notice my breathing improving?
I'm being told over and over how my breathing will improve after quiting smoking but I feel mines got worse. I'm wheezing and coughing and always feel like I've got a frog in my throat. Some days I cough up brown phlegm other days it's clear. I'm still feeling positive about quitting, I'm in my 8th week

Why do smokers diagnosed with COPD not quit smoking?
Since reading the Silly Woman post with a newspaper story of a woman using oxygen causing an explosion by lighting a cigarette the question of what happens when a lifetime of smoking can not be stopped. I discovered this research that makes interesting reading http://www.tobaccoinduceddiseases.com/content

Strike 2 !!
I'll start by apologising as this may turn into a bit of a rant,SORRY. The surgery on my back was originally due to be done today but then I got bumped and given a new date for next Monday.Have spent the last 4 weeks planning and sorting and generally just getting prepared mentally for what was to come
