Can't Cope
Went doctors again yesterday complaining of chest pains. Refused ECG (3rd time). Done extensive tests on heart in January and all was perfect. Less chance than average of developing an arythmia. She listened to heart, took blood pressure and pulse and again said all was perfect. Woke up this morning

Update on worst week ever...
My dearest friends, If I haven't replied directly to your lovely messages then please accept my heartfelt apologies. I've been drugged up to the eyeballs and in a big flare up and to top it off, the GP surgery buggering about as usual. It has been over a week now since my GP requested an urgent referral

Recent spinal decompression surgery
Hi all, I am 61, female and work full time still in a sitting down all day job. Having experienced pain and numbness for the last 18 months which came on suddenly. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago. I was told the relief would be quick and I would soon be tablet and pain free. Instead I still have pain

Help! Does anyone do better on westhroid than nature-throid?
Hi guys, I know these are the same but I've swopped over to nature thyroid and I'm getting very bad (aching joints, teary, overwhelmed, lack of concentration). Other changes: my doc stopped my 2mg diazepam for sleep and now on quietipine (seraquel). Could this hinder thyroid absorption? Really not well

Slipped disc and sciatica
Hi Everyone, hope you can offer some advice :) I slipped a disc in my lower back in 2013 soon after having my daughter, which an MRI scan confirmed but the surgeon recommended swimming and Pilates first as there are a lot of risks with having the operation and for my age he didn't think it was worth

Diazepam- what dosage to take?
After having a bad experience I really struggle to have any type of internal examination, I need to have a smear on Tuesday and the doctor has given me some 5mg diazepam tablets - has anyone taken diazepam for this type of thing and what dosage did you take and how effective was it? I've already had

Does time ever heal ? I have a herniated disc l5 s1 the pain is driving me nuts -- 1 year in
I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall, at the very beginning my pain presented in my right hip. The doctor was good at the time, he thought it was bursitis and treated with injections etc a long story short they didn't work but the pain was bearable. I am a nurse and was working 50 plus

So I try my best to only post positive stuff on here but today I'm struggling with positives to find. I'm on holiday and tonight took my little lad to the arcade on site which I've done every night but for some reason my anxiety went crazy and I had to lie and say my ibs was starting to get back to the

Testing and when to avoid supps/NDT
Okay so today I ended up in A&E. Ugh. I've had breathing issues for over 2 weeks now and it's just getting worse. Tight chest and can't get a full breath. I can't figure out if it's an allergy to something (although I have no history of asthma) or a deficiency. Anyway! They told me it's just anxiety

Insomniac not sleeping even with diazepam, med change today
I've been back to docs today, he's changed my medication from mirtazapine to seretine and Zoloft to help me sleep. still got to take diazepam if I get in a panic. so pretty soon should be well chilled. As it happens my son had appointment at his doc today and he has been put on a low dose of citalopram

My Myelopathy: A long journey…destination unknown
Research is increasingly demonstrating the importance of early diagnosis, and treatment as appropriate, of CSM and CDM. I am sharing my journey to show how easy it is to ignore early symptoms and how difficult it can also be for doctors and other clinicians to suspect this condition as a diagnosis.

Chest x-ray showing 'opacity'
Hi..I have had a chronic cough for several months and my Dr put it down to allergies and GERD but sent me for an x-ray to be sure. What's the point
I've had depression for 10 years and it only gets worse, I've been put on different meds and I have to take diazepam when I need it. The police want to take me to hospital every time I threaten suicide but it doesn't help. The GPs don't care and I'm not receiving any support like councelling or anything

My anxiety is intolerable.
I have had anxiety for 20 years, for the past 2 years I have had bouts of extreme anxiety that last for months, I'va had two lots of CBT and am due to start another in 3 months, that's the waiting list time. I have been on diazepam for 20 years, obviously it doesn't help much anymore but my gp said

I am 65 and trying to get over break-up after 15 years. I am taking Mirtazapine 45mg and have been given diazepam to use as and when I need them. I have had depression on and off for years but now it is worse than ever. Every day is a struggle, the hurt I feel inside is unbearable and just cry, so
