Venlafaxine 37.5mg anyone ??
Took my first ever dose of venlafaxine at 10.30am this morning. Dose is 37.5mg and I swear I can't take another I just can't. I've had dry heaves, 1 hour of watery stools. Highetned anxiety and racing Heart, dry mouth, headache. Pupils being large. Ended up taking 5mg of diazepam at 1.30pm and that helped

AF timeline to date
1 month in constant AF 3 weeks in NSR 1 day in AF 1 week in NSR 4 days in AF and counting………….. Seems like there is no pattern to my AF. Currently feeling the best I have done in the last 2 months by some considerable margin – pleasantly numbed by a combination of meditation, Propanolol and Diazepam

Truly petrified.
I suffer severe anxiety, health anxiety mostly. Anyway had been feeling great for a few months and then over the past week I've been getting anxious again. Anyway last night I ended up having a complete breakdown because I couldn't cope feeling like this anymore. My mind didn't want to do anything and

Almost giving up now
Just cannot shake off this anxiety/panic attacks. I have read and read almost every book on the subject and tried lots of methods to help me but I still cannot shake off this anxiety. I think about my anxiety 24/7 and that's no exaggeration. Had a good space of time when I was anxiety free but now for

A physical illness becomes a mental one.
This is not new territory for this forum, but I thought I’d add my experience as a newbie to AF and anxiety. I have never been an anxious person. I was in the British Army for 10 years, at times in charge of 100+ soldiers. I have spent over a year of my life in Iraq when conditions were less than friendly

Long term axiety/dpression
Hi, I have had anxiety related problems most of my life. Because people cant see your condition when they meet or look at you, it can make me feel worried when letting family or friends down. I have had a recent set back and lethargic phase, of which I find it hard to get back to my old self. I take

Doctors, complete waste off time!
So after the great advice from you guys the other day, I booked myself in to see a gp thinking this would be a great first step in the right direction. Well I'm afraid that it was a complete waste off time. I began to describe what was going on with me. After I'd say about 30 seconds the gp cut me off

Sciatica pt 3
Dr prescribed Diazepam and Codeine for the pain. Unfortunately I had a bad reaction to the Codeine, bad pain in upper stomach, sweating and nausea. We phoned 111 and they were worried it might be a heart attack and sent an ambulance. After they did ECG and other checks (my blood pressure was way up),

Sciatica
Update on Sciatica. Managed to get emergency appt with Dr (not mine) this morning, after 2 sleepless nights and crying with the pain on Sunday. Nice young man who was very sympathetic and actually took the time to examine me. He has confirmed that I do have Sciatica and has prescribed a course of Coedine

Disco legs
Hi i am new to the forum but alas not to RLS or disco legs as my partner affectionately refers to it 😊. I have tried all the usual remedies with no joy. I did manage to get hold of some diazepam from a friend only 2mg dose which was amazing in aiding a good nights sleep. I asked the doctor for a prescription

How can they make even a hopeless man have less hope?
After breaking down in the office on Monday and crying, because I felt so lost and isolated, surrounded by people, my wife decided she'd had enough. It's got to the point where I can't function any more. Work is hopeless, I'm so guilty about my failings as a father and socially, well, I stopped bothering
