Palpitations - Once NDT started, how long before they might stop? Beta blockers?
I started taking NDT last month and have feeling so much better, I feel like pinching myself every morning! Energy levels improved dramatically, sleep length back to normal, exercise tolerance gradually improving, no more 2 hour afternoon naps needed, acne disappeared for the first time in many years

Asthma advice - bothersome wheeze
I’ve had mild asthma for many years and I started running about a year ago. My preventer was changed to a different brand and it seemed to disappear after a while with just the

I’m new here and getting with the programme
I’ve just stepped on the scales. Last night I was looking forward to it. I was convinced that I would have lost an *astonishing amount of weight over the last week...I have been in ketosis, not as deeply as I would have liked. I haven’t felt like I was dieting, I have eaten lovely food, the food I long

Another “tool” for emergency care!
So I was chatting with EmmaF91 and Lysistrata from here last night and we were saying how it would be quite helpful to have something small to keep on us to alert people to your asthma/treatment that works etc. I know a lot of us either have our own or Emma’s famous template for a&e trips but sometimes

Sabotaged my LCHF eating
Hi I don’t know what’s going on at the moment with me, but, it seems all I want to do is rebel against LCHF. I appear to have got in a rut with eating, I’ve started to have strawberries and cream after my main meal as I just don’t feel full, in the beginning I ditched the puddings. Now I’ve discovered

Homemade gluten free quiche for lunch
Hi everyone, Here's a slice of home made gluten free quiche that I made, I saw this recipe in Bette Hagman's gluten free recipe book. First cook potatoes then mash with a little butter and milk season spread into. casserole dish and blind bake in an oven until slightly crispy. While this is baking

I like low carb
Having decided to go down this route I am finding that I really like it. Today's food diary is: 1 Weetabix, greek yogurt and mixed berries mushroom omelette (lunch) trout fillet, stem broccoli, avocado (cut into wedges, roll in almond flour and paprika and fried) After all that thought early morning

I hate Sunday
the sun is shining, just wish the buses were running, oh well better change the bedding. Food planned for today, I had the rest of my low carb pancakes with grilled bacon and sugar free maple syrup. Dinner is going to be fake KFC using almond flour and spices for the coating, coleslaw and hallumi fries

Chronic cough and shortness of breath for 8 months
I’m 29 and I have had a chronic cough which produces loads of phlegm all day everyday and shortness of breath for 8 months now and I’m absolutely sick of it, it’s ruining my life and the drs just won’t do anything to help me. I do have asthma but it’s never been anything like this before. Every time

Difficult day
Today is my birthday, the first one on my own since my husband passed away recently but I didn't want to crash the healthy eating (can't get to the shops anyway) so as a treat I cooked myself some low carb pancakes with fruit and yogurt for breakfast and even found a low carb lemon cake for later on.

Involuntary inhale and traveling
I have two questions. Being new to asthma, I traveled on an airplane for the first time since I was diagnosed. I’m not sure if it was the altitude but I think it might have been or the fact that I was recovering from the stomach flu that made me struggle on the plane. I didn’t take my rescue inhaler
