Low carb high fat lunch
The little pancake couldn’t be easier: whisk a large egg with a tbsp of ground almonds. Melt tiny bit of butter in a small frying pan, pour in mixture and lightly fry on both sides for a few minutes. Here I’ve served it with mixed salad and a dollop of cream cheese.

In a word...help
Hello All I hope this finds you as well as can be. I am looking for advice from anyone who is/has been in the same situation as me. I have had this 'orrible illness for over 20+ years, and it has now got worse. I am not sleeping at night and struggle to get my breath, I had a session with my asthma nurse

Weight loss has stopped
I’m a little confused, I started LCHF nearly 3 weeks ago ( I’m using recipes from the fast 800 recipe book) and have nearly lost a stone. This week my weight has stayed the same and I have lost nothing. I’ve been measuring my ketones and they are fine. Help? Any ideas? I’m still classed as overweight

Would you dare admit to “going freestyle”??
I know there is a valiant effort made by everyone here to support each person’s right to make their own medical decisions. I really like that. I also notice that most people here advocate following a medical doctor’s advice, which is almost always taking DMTs (Disease Modifying Therapies aka pharmaceuticals

Arythmia/irregular heartbeat and peak flow
Has anyone had arythmia? I think mine is being brought on by the fostair. Also a symptom of arythmia (irregular heartbeat) can be breathless and fatigue. Would your peak flow still drop if your breathlessness was a heart issue and not an asthma issue. I’ve been saying my asthma has changed this last

Late asthma diagnosis + regular low peak flow
Hi all, hope you are well. I was diagnosed with asthma last year just after the pandemic kicked off, as such it's been quite an isolating experience getting support. It started off with me getting chest tightness, in particular at night, as well as wheezing. Was given blue inhaler over phone by GP not

Amlodipine question
Does anyone know if amlodipine can be taken on an ad hoc need-to basis as opposed to a once-daily therapy? My mom's BP is largely stable on a very low sodium diet, and only spikes if we go off track. Thank you.

Obstructive asthma or Asthma - COPD overlap - confused
Hi I have posted on here about my overuse of Salbutamol and my GP practice asthma nurse wanting to stop it! Big red flag and a lot of stress for me. Anyway long story short agreed to further investigations and tests. Peak flow best is 250 - 200 I feel ok on this with help of salbutamol in the day.

Does being Vegan eliminate Endo pain?
Anyone heard of Dr. Neal Barnard, Author of Your Body in Balance: The New Science of Food, Hormones, and Health?? He seems to claim going Vegan along with a low fat diet can eliminate Endometriosis. Has anyone tried this? Or have you had good results by becoming vegetarian as a start?

Diet for PMR
Used to be on low carb and high meat diet. Now with PMR trying plant based diet which is often high in Carbs. Any thoughts? Been on 15mg for 4 weeks and struggling to reduce it to 12.5 mg. Was ok for a few weeks now shoulder pains have returned.is it diet related or just PMR

Hi, my asthma was under control under my previous meds for the first time in years until I was very poorly with a virus in Nov 2019 and it has worsened since. Medichecks results - help in interpreting these please? Also do other people share these with their GPs and if so how does that go down??
Hello - after my disappointing dose increase of Levo of 25mg *every other day* following my last NHS blood test (3.79 - in range) but still having problems (mainly walking pain and need for long sleeps that I really don't have time for) I have now had my Medichecks results. Not too bad but think I definitely

Overlooked for vaccine, apparently not vulnerable !
My husband has eosinophilic asthma, takes fostair 200/6, montelukast, flixonaise and more. He has just finished a course of prednisone. He went to Dr last week and asked about vaccine and was told that because he hasn't had a hospital admission in the past 3 months he wasn't classed as severe so
