Pain in ribs on my back and peak flow is down
Since last night, I have had pain in my ribs on my back where my chest is and I've checked my peak flow tonight and it's down from 350 to around 230. My ribs are also sore on my front as well. I am unsure on whether this is my asthma trying to flare up or what. I can't talk to my doctor's as they don't

Keeping a peak flow record
Evening everybody, I had a pretty bad flare up a few month's back and the asthma nurse changed me from clenil to fostair. She asked me to take my peak flow result recorded for a couple of months, at the startI was averaging 350, months pass and yesterday I had my medication review with the asthma nurse

Saturated fat: extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof
Humans have been eating saturated fats since before we were human, before we were hominids, before we were primates, before we were mammals. Seed oils have been around in quantity for a little over 100 years. Rapeseed oil/canola was poisonous until the 1970s. The claim that a fat that we have been eating

Kidney disease (category 3) and rising cholesterol level
Does anyone have cholesterol issues? I am so happy that stopping dairy and watching my protein intake (mostly plant based now) has helped me raise my gfr from level 3 to level 2 but yesterday’s meeting with my dr revealed that I now have cholesterol issues. Hard to believe...I was always a low carb eater

6-day Autophagy Fast
I am not expecting any of you to join me - but this might be of interest. I have been doing a 100-hour water fast every month, but I do not need to lose weight, so I do not need the calorie restriction of a water fast - and I do get low on energy on a 100-hour water fast. I do not have diabetes or any

Should I reduce or stop my running? - low peak flow and low oximetry readings recently & after running
I've recently been running more and more in preparation for a half marathon. However, my peak flow has dropped and I've been taking more ventolin and more becotide inhalors. I'm male 5'7'' 44yo and my good peak flow is about 450 but the best I've blown in the last year is about 430. Good for me is

What to try next for my thyroid (+ to get pregnant)??
Hello everyone! I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2018 at age 38 as part of my fertility investigations (we have been trying to conceive since 2016). Then in 2019 I tested my antibodies and discovered it was Hashimoto's. When I first started measuring my antibodies in 2019, the TPO varied from

Going back to seretide?
I’ve just been asked in for my annual review and want to ask the nurse if I can go back to seretide. I came off it a few years ago when there was some research about increased risk of pneumonia as I have mild bronchiectasis. I’ve tried quite a few alternatives and have been on flutiform for a couple
