I have very itchy palms and they are driving me mad!
Under the skin are spots which are hard to see - but make my hands feel rough to the touch. I can feel my hands throb sometimes and the palms have reddened. I have been using Dermovate ointment and antihistamine tablets. I don't know what else to do...

By the way - I appear to be losing sensation in my fingers... dulled sensation, rather than sharper sensation. I'm presuming that there must be some swelling somewhere for this to happen... my rings have got tighter on my fingers. Although, hopefully, this is temporary, it's very worrying as the one thing I enjoy is craft work.
I hope my descriptions make sense. It's very difficult to explain things sometimes...
Ended up going to see my GP today. Yes it's part of the vasculitis... a chemical reaction (of my own body's chemicals) between the layers of the skin I was told. I've been given stronger steroid cream (Betnovate - to be used no longer than 7 days at a time - and then 3 weeks break)) and E45 cream for my non-Betnovate weeks and more antihistamine tablets. I don't feel any better BUT I do feel listened to... so important for sufferers of chronic conditions...
I also get itching in my hands, but also my face, arms, legs and feet. I have been given antihistamine's by my GP and this helps. Sometimes the itching seems to be well below the surface so, although you scratch, you do not seem to be able to reach the area that itches!!
I too suffer from Raynaud's and at times my hands are also very hot and no one, so far, has been able to tell me why that happens. I was told that I might have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, but this has never been ruled in. Or out for that matter, even though I have most of the symptoms.
