WHEN YOUR CLINICAL TRIAL FAILS, WHAT DO YOU DO NEXT ?
Except for a monthly neulasta injection, my Nurex 2127 trial had been going pretty well. My blood counts were good, 13ish HGB 1,80 ALC 150 Plat ANC was always low. My Dr. thought it would be idea to do an 18 month " lets see where we are BMB", no problem. I hadn't had one in about 20 months

New ER for low hemoglobin
I am preaching to the choir to tell you that the US healthcare is a mess. I still do not have answers or a transfusion. My hem/onc wanted me back in the ER, and last night’s ER doctor did not do all the bloodwork she wanted even though the two hospitals are in the same system. I chose to go to Yale Nee

In ER for low HGB
This is my first time posting since diagnosis in September 2022. I am a 63-year-old female, who has otherwise been healthy. I presented with just the higher than normal WBC, but I was sent to the ER after my routine blood draw revealed a drop in my HGB from 13 to 7. I had felt okay -/ mildly tired. However

codeine
I’m just wondering if taking a 60mg dose of codeine each night is addictive? I’m only taking codeine occasionally at other times if I’m in agony with my other health problems. I’ve noticed that it helps my RLS calm immensely when taken with or a low dose of pramiprexole. I also find a hot way bottle

Anagrelide in UK and in the USA😱
My long suffering wife has been taking Anagrelide and a little hydroxycarbamide for five years now. During these five years she has endured numerous upper GI bleeds, and endoscopies, which have never found the source of the bleeds. More recently, and only since her Anagrelide has been reduced from 21

PSA up to 150 on Olaprib, any insight on what’s next?
Hi all, my dads history is mostly in my profile but in short he started on Zytiga a year ago. Zytiga worked well but had major side effects and lead to a switch to Erleada. Erleada failed at the time shown in the picture with the orange circle and he switched to Olaprib by the time he got the PSA results

Blood Transfusion day after Chemo
Hi allI've had many units of blood over the years during my chemo, but I'm having a unit of blood today and my chemo was only yesterday. I know this might sound daft but will having more blood in my system only 1 day after chemo mean that the chemo drugs will kind of be watered down!!? Never thought

My Pluvicto Journey is Over
I finished treatment #5 on August 10th with a PSA of over 400. But worse than that was what it did to my hemoglobin and Platelet counts. Last week my hemoglobin was down to 6.2 and after 2 units of blood it only rose to 7.8. Platelet counts drooped to 18k. I had a transfusion for both the platelets

My Recovery so far post Stem cell Transplant
Sorry I've been absent for so long, my stem cell transplant journey has been a difficult one to be honest and only now do I feel able to be able to tell the story so far. Thank you to everyone who kindly messaged me to see how I was and apologies for asking so long to respond. I really appreciated

Update.
Had my last infusion of Rituximab today. A doctor came to speak with me, apparently my cll is not responding to the infusions. They are hoping that this last dose will trigger a reaction but she is doubtful. She asked if I had ever taken acalabrutinib to which I said no and I think i have heard that

Mayo Clinic studies B12 def, are very interesting!!
Check these studies out! I printed a few copies for my medical practice Abstract Although cobalamin (vitamin B12) deficiency was described over a century ago, it is still difficult to establish the correct diagnosis and prescribe the right treatment. Symptoms related to vitamin B12 deficiency may

Finally some progress
Those who followed our Journey, know this is such a painful process of grief. Two weeks ago, the hospital wrote it would not change the factual information in my wife's chart. In her chart it had been written she had Biopys proven Nash Cirrhosis, which led doctors looking at ultrasounds that said

A Big Thankyou
Just a message to thank everyone who has written in reply to my last post. It was really great to get all of your hugs and supportive messages. They have meant such a lot.I had my blood transfusion on Fri ( a delay on the Weds) and this morning I feel like I have more energy. So hopefully I will shrug
