Painful achilles tendons, especially on left leg
I have scleroderma, and have suddenly a low ferritin level which has never been seen before and need a transfusion, as well as painful chillies tendons especially on my left leg. I have never been told that I have any thyroid problems. Could you please tell me what factors are worth looking at in thyroid

Ferociously Irritated with an urge to elope with next door's cat
Last night having sat and tutted my way through a programme/documentary about the history of oil, my eyebrows knitted together and my feet twitching in irritation, the evening ended with a sneezing crescendo, brought about by the behaviour of my log burner. Most people's stoves send smoke up the chimney

My life with CLL
I was diagnosed with CLL in 2012. As I had delayed going to see my GP, the disease was quite well advanced and I needed to start treatment immediately. Hip Replacement/Low Hemoglobin
Hi Everyone, hope all are somewhat well. Had the left hip replaced. After 7 days, pain is horrific. Motion is intentionally limited to keep the implant from "popping out". Am in a rehab now for two weeks. In ICU, after waking up from the operation --- saw " double". -- scared. In that groggy state

Aspergillus
Hello folk - do any fellow aspergillus sufferers also have sweats every 20 minutes night & day? I've been sweating for 13 months now & Been on itraconazole and prednisone for 9 weeks & seem to be worse than ever. Should say I've got MDS (bone marrow failure/blood cancer) and am transfusion dependent.

Control of CAR-T immune cells could mean safer, more precise cancer treatment for CLL and many other cancers.

Blood donors relax. There is negligible risk of CLL transmission via blood donation!
I'm very relieved to pass on this post by Irene Irwin to the CLL ACOR list today.
A 30 year study on 1.5 million recipients of blood from 2.1 million individual donors in Denmark and Sweden shows negligible risk of passing on CLL from a donor with MBL/CLL.

Nothing short of a miracle
Got Mum out of the nursing home 2 weeks ago to live with us. Hard work but so rewarding. Last week Mum got a urine infection but I think it was a 're flare up from the infection she had in th nursing home, and was not responding to antibiotics. Delirium set in and on Friday Mum got admitted to Cambridge

My daughter has CKD stage 3
When my daughter was born in 1990 there were complications when she was having a complete blood transfusion which resulted in her having acute renal failure and her left leg amputated just below the knee. Beth doesn't have a 'disease' as such as the damage to her kidneys were caused by the complications

when to begin treatment
I have been getting packed red blood cell transfusions now on a monthly basis, to bring my hemoglobin to a higher level, also had 2
platelet
transfusions
, which really never make that much of a difference, as my platelets only go up a few points.

Success with Azathiaprin
Hi guys , hope you are all as well as possible. Just to let you all know after having a blood transfusion in 2013 and an iron transfusion, I was put on Pentasa 500mg 2 x twice daily. It helped for a while, but as I became use to the medication, the bleeding started all over again, which is very distressing
