I’m worried about my relapse for the second time
Hi all, I was diagnosed with ITP in 2007, as I was at the worst stage than with platelet count of 5, I was given both blood & platelet transfusion, IVIG for 10 days followed by course of prednisolone for a year. I then had a relapse in 2012, sudden heavy bleeding during my period and my platelet count

Possible non-drug RLS Treatment...
Hi, I haven't been on this post for awhile because I have been working like crazy. However, I see posts from time to time and I am wondering why patients with Primary RLS do not get monthly blood transfusions from patients with Hemochromatosis? They appear to be almost polar opposite conditions. Hemochromatosis

SBRT Side Effects Red, White Cell & Platelet Decrease
Completed SBRT (five treatment intense radiation) for prostate cancer. This was successful. However, the radiation triggered symptomatic anemia with dangerously low red and white blood cell counts as well as low platelet counts. Scared about hep c.
In 1974 I was diagnosed with with hepatitis. The doctor wasn`t clear about what type, but he told me that it was an Australian virus. I recovered very quickly & have had normal liver function tests ever since. There is one other thing that`s worrying me, I had a blood transfusion in 1983 after an operation

Blood Transfusion During Surgery
Hi, all. I got a phone call from the hospital today following my pre-op on Wednesday. I'm anaemic due to low iron levels and have been for a long time now. I know this is bad, but I don't take my iron tablets. Anyway, during this phone call I was told to take my iron tablets as I should, otherwise I

Cured
I finished Harvoni in January. I had my blood tested last week and I am now cured. I contracted Hep C in 1981 after I had a blood transfusion after child birth. It has been a long year since it was discoverd during a routine health exam. My blood test showed elevated liver enzymes. I hope this post gives

Sigh of relief
My blood tests for hep b, hep c and hiv have all come back negative thank heavens. I had had two blood transfusions in 1990 which is before blood was screened for contamination. I was really anxious about it not just because of the repercussions on my health but also in case I'd passed it on to a member

Highs and lows of life with arrhythmias
On Sunday I posted a lovely photo of the water when out on a boat and today my view is of the nurses station in CCU/ICU. I spent the night here again after going into AFlutter then AFib last night. It eventually settled back into NSR after extra meds but had another wobble this morning. I had magnesium
