Sigh of relief

My blood tests for hep b, hep c and hiv have all come back negative thank heavens. I had had two blood transfusions in 1990 which is before blood was screened for contamination. I was really anxious about it not just because of the repercussions on my health but also in case I'd passed it on to a member of the family. I'm now Waiting to speak to my gp about the other blood test results.

My gp has referred me for an urgent appointment with a hepatologist. I spoke to his PA who said that once he has looked at my results etc he will decide if I need an urgent or non urgent appointment.

I have never been a drinker so I know it's not alcohol related but I have previously been told that I had fatty liver. Some time ago when I had a liver scan because of abnormal liver results I asked how bad it was. The radiographer just said it's not bad, I've seen worse and half the population have fatty liver!

Must be a great relief for you to get these results back. It's good that everything is being checked and try not to worry. The liver is amazing and can heal itself if its treated well x
