Anyone else having to battle each time they need an iron infusion?
I’ve had PA since I was a teenager, although it took them years to identify it and I was 23 by the time I received my first loading doses. The main reason they missed the PA was due to an ongoing iron anaemia which was disguising the cell shapes on blood tests. The B12 was treated but the iron issue

New to all this
Hi everyone x this is all new to me, I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in May this year, I have had medication since July. I finished taking them on the 1 October. On the 10th my bloods came back as normal 👍👍👍👍 I’m so happy and can’t thank medical staff enough.... unfortunately it’s left me with Cirrhosis

Thomas is at home!
Some good news here, Thomas was discharged the week before last and has been settling in well at home. Matthew is still in hospital and now weighs 2lb 13oz. He's been quite up and down and has had two blood transfusions, a few rounds of antibiotics etc etc. We don't yet have a discharge plan for him

I lost half my blood in 2004 after I found that out from bloodwork that I had done, I was told to go to the emergency room , nine doctors looked at me and admitted me for a blood transfusion and then sent me home the next day at noon not finding where the blood I lost came from ? I was still bleeding

Lab results - PA?
Hi, Since this April I've been dealing with depression, anxiety, and starting in July I experienced extreme fatigue (couldn't sit up at my work desk) and passing out when standing for than 10 minutes. I thought the fatigue was a result of the depression and the fainting was because of the fatigue but

Post ablation arrhythmia-early days
Diagnosed with PAF a year ago, prescribed various meds including amiodarone, no effect except potential for unpleasant side effects, so stopped in January. Prescribed Xarelto anti coagulant which caused severe anaemia from internal bleeding, blood and iron transfusions followed, I am now taking Eliquis

Fathers update
My dad has been in the ICU the past 2 days. Things began to decline on Thursday. While he was at City of hope getting his weekly Labs for Lu-177-PSMA Trial. His Hemoglobin dropped to 7.5 and he required 2 Units of blood. This is a known side effect of the Lu177 especially with bone/ marrow metastasis

Experiencing postpartum psychosis.
I thought I'd post here about my experience with postpartum psychosis. In 2012 I had a miscarriage and subsequently found out I had uterus didelphys. This is two wings and the septum continued down into my vagina. I had already suffered with depression for ten years and was very depressed at this time

Fluids, blood transfusion and CA125
Hi lovely people. I’ve had fluids today in hospital as well as yesterday as I’m dehydrated. I was supposed to have cisplatin yesterday but had fluids instead. I’ve got to go next week for a blood transfusion. Then hopefully I can have that horrible cisplatin. My CA125 is now 700. It’s gone from

Lu-177-PSMA-617 update- (4 weeks after 1st treatment)
My father has been doing ok. He has his days of feeling better outweighed with days of not feeling good. He no longer is experiencing the dry mouth, just bone and joint pain. He also has had some extreme fatigue. This could be from the combination of Lupron, lu-177-PSMA, and Xgeva. It’s pretty severe

Diagnosis
My wife mRCC Stage 4 since August 2012. She lost her left kidney and it spread to 5 sites. She went for a physical by request of family doctors. She had blood work and was going back to the doctor for results. Before getting to the appointment we were told. Don't bring her to office. Take her to ER.

Update on my fathers 1st Lu-177-PSMA-617 treatment
It’s been 2 weeks since my father received his 1st treatment. Today he is feeling much better he has his energy back and he no longer has the aches and pains of bone metastasis. In the last 10 days he has experienced dry mouth and a few episodes of nausea and fatigue that is beyond what is experienced

Op update and constipation tips and advice
Dearest contributors , I can’t thank you enough for all your earlier help and advice. I thought I would do an update. I came through op (TAH, BSO) and bowl dissection (not sure of the difference between dissection and resection). May have to have Blood transfusion because haemoglobin levels low. Seriously
