AMG Clinical Trial Update
I have been silent since the end of January. Not just on the board. I am not sure why I clammed up, but I decided the roller coaster was too much for my family. Also, I have been having trouble processing my thoughts on the clinical trial. The COVID positive from January 11, turned into a 4-week interruption

Ibrance
Just finished my first 3 weeks of Ibrance and the off week, but I can’t start my next cycle because my white blood cells are too low. I feel like I’m sliding backwards and so tired again because my red cells are low too and probably looking at another transfusion next week. Anyone else go through this

Ruxolitinib and Anaemia
I'm struggling with heavy anaemia and very very low platelets after four months of Ruxolitinib. It's not pleasant at all, and I need blood transfusions every two weeks or so. There is a danger of my ferritin levels getting too high as well. I gather this happens a lot. I understand my Hgb levels might

Please tell me....Why is she giving up?
My Mum was diagnosed with OC in 2019, after receiving Chemo treatment (having a very rough ride she came through it). Covid has been tough for her as she had to shield after just beginning to live again. Her OC is now back and she has had a first dose Caelyx, a new drug to her. In the last few days

The final end of the battle.
After 26 months my husband passed on March 8. He was first diagnosed in Jan. 2019 with Gleason score of 9(5+4) and PSA 15. It had already metastasized to the bone. His physical a year earlier was negative but they did not do a PSA test. He was on Lupron. They tried Zytiga and Xtandi. He had spot radiation

Terrified in Hyperthyroidism
This stuff isn't cool it's confusing it's new its terrifying to me. I was fine none of this crap a total blood transfusion all but 1 unit and my life isnt mine anymore. My memory and ability to manuver threw this maze if information has got me full of fear and sure I can't do this for myself. My feet

Fibroscan results

Any ladies who have developed therapy-related leukaemia after their treatment?
A blood test result on Friday tests suggests a t-MDS/t-AML diagnosis will be next for my mum, although she hasn't had marrow testing yet to confirm. I am looking for answers and support from anyone who is going through it or who has had a loved one go through this. It is massive a blow as she's been

Issues on Decapeptyl! Help!
I’m have recently had my 2nd monthly decapeptyl injection due to a 9cm fibroid and really heavy periods causing severe anaemia, the hot flushes started and just generally feeling a bit all over the place. The biggest problem is the tiredness and I’ve had 3 periods in 2 months although I thought the injection

Week 2 Obinutuzumab
Today was week 2 & I had my second 1000 ml transfusion of Obinutuzumab. It is 11 .30 pm U.K. time ; I am still up and have energy despite having spent 8+ hours in hospital today. I then came home , cooked , cleaned and washed up , relaxed a bit, messaged friends ..... I didn’t need a blood transfusion

Blood Transfusion?
The chemotherapy I'm on, carboplatin, is apparently notorious for causing anemia. Since I'm already anemic, my RBG has dropped to the lowest it's ever been (for me). I've tried IV iron and arinesp, an EPO like shot, and neither has boosted my counts. So, my MO is recommending a blood transfusion, perhaps

Day 2 of Obinutuzamab
Well i am speechless : my WBC fell from 187 yesterday to 3.2 this morning !That is after a 100 ml dose. Simply amazing. I didn"t get any tremors just a mild reaction of high temperature of 38.5 and pulse. of 100. No trauma as expected initially. To be on the safe side I am being given 2 packets of blood

Chemo results
They started me on Chemo 3 weeks ago, I wasn't keen because I've been so weak and felt I might not cope, I did it anyway and it seems to have got my PSA down from 360 to 150. I have another round tomorrow Oncologist is worried about low blood counts and will add blood transfusion as well tomorrow. A

MF, platelet count and feeling anxious
I have been on Ruxolitinib for post ET MF since last August. It's been really effective at shrinking my spleen and reducing my WBC count. Hb varies and I have a transfusion approximately monthly. I'm concerned about my platelets though: after holding steady at around 100 for months, they have now started
