I’m have recently had my 2nd monthly decapeptyl injection due to a 9cm fibroid and really heavy periods causing severe anaemia, the hot flushes started and just generally feeling a bit all over the place. The biggest problem is the tiredness and I’ve had 3 periods in 2 months although I thought the injection was meant to stop this?
My hb and ferritin are the highest they’ve been in years Hb 105 (never usually goes above 90 and ferritin I kid you not is usually between 2 and 6) ferritin in at 8 after having a blood transfusion and ferrinject. So I don’t think my anaemia is what’s causing my tiredness.
I haven’t started taking the HRT because I just can’t even think of having additional side effects but has anyone found it helped with the tiredness?
Also has anybody still had periods on the decapeptyl?

I'm in the same boat. Decapeptyl seemed to help me really quickly, had no periods at all then started spotting 5/6 weeks ago then got my period this morning. I've had 7 injections so I have no idea what's going on. I will give my specialist a call tomorrow. I started everol conti hrt patches back in September and im not sure about helping with tiredness. I get up really early for work plus taking amitriptyline so always feel tired. Definitely help with the flushes. I hope you get some relief soon x
