Hand Foot Syndrome - New Treatment
This might be old news for some but I did a search and couldn’t find any posts discussing it. A recent study was just completed that showed that a common OTC medication is extremely effective for hand foot syndrome caused by Capacetibine (Xeloda). Voltarin (active ingredient diclofenac) reduced the

Looking for a Surgeon with Specific Skills
This is a long shot. I’m an Aussie. I had HD brachytherapy for prostate cancer in 2010. In 2016, I was diagnosed with Carcinoma in Situ in the bladder. I’ve had multiple rounds of BCG, and I’m now heading towards a radical cystectomy. My urologist is nervous about the risk of damage to the rectum

Triple Negative Question
if you truly are triple negative PV for example, how does one treat that? Interferon targets the JAK2 cells & normal cells correct? Would interferon just target the cells in general if there is no mutation. However, if an immunotherapy cure ever comes around that can fix the JAK2 mutation… would that

"A revolution in cancer treatment?"
I don't see a specific reference to prostate cancer in this article in today's NYTimes. But it's about multiple cancers, and the idea, spoken of here before, is that patients with cancers formerly called terminal are living longer and longer as multiple drug treatments may come close to turning these

Acoustic neuroma
I developed acoustic aroma about a year and a half ago. All of a sudden, my right ear felt clogged and I started to develop tinnitus. I am really upset because I don’t know what I’m in for. The worst part of this is the tinnitus. I wish that it would just go away and it would be cure for it. It’s loud

Capecitabine(Xeloda) dose change
I have been on Capecitabine for about 9 months at a dose of 2000 mg per day (2 weeks on 1 week off). My scans have shown good results with the last scan showing no progression. My question is, has anyone had experience with reducing dose to 2000 mg 1 week on then 1 week off? My Dr. Has suggested changing

Postponing chemo because of radiation?
Hi all, My dads first radiation has been sheduled for June 21st. However his 3rd chemo is set for June 26th. When briefly speaking with his RO he mentioned that chemo would be postponed in order to do radiation. This confused a me a little bit as from my understanding the radiation would be for pain

Med change
Hi everyone, so it looks like I’m up for another med change. ( second one in 2 months 😳). My question is will I have to wait to get first med out of my system before starting the next one? I’m concerned that the cancer will grow if I’m not on anything. Just wondering what everyone’s experience
