Our dog died last night
Our dog Lucia has been ailing for a couple of months. Several vet visits, lots of medication, and she's just been going down hill. Less active. Not finishing her food--really unusual, LOL, losing weight. Breathing loudly. We were goibng to take her back to the vet this morning and urge him to put

How skin cancer develops
Around 90% of skin cancers develop because unrepaired DNA damage to the skin cells caused by over-exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UVR) from the sun and/or sunbeds triggers mutations that cause the cells to reproduce abnormally (grow out-of-control) and form tumours. Dear all, I am new to this forum but not to thyroid disease. I was diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism in 1999, at age 29, and put on levothyroxine. I struggled on it for years, tried different brands, but never felt optimal. I needed 200 micrograms a day just to feel human, while doctors kept

4K test says H. What now?
Rather than undergo my 2nd biopsy (directed) I pushed for a 4K test. This was never brought up by my Urologist. The 4K test indicated a PSA of 15 - up from 13 in March and 11 in December. There was an "H" next to it, I assume indicating a high probability of cancer in the next 10 yrs. I'm curious about

At a crossroads
Greetings All, I have recently been scanned and increased Mets in bones and a new small spot in my liver have been found, eliminating me from my Phase Ib clinical trial that had worked from November 2021. My earlier first line of treatment, Ibrance Fulvestrant failed after about 8 months. I am now

Strange thyroid test results?
Hello all, I've recently discovered this amazing community, and this is the first time I've posted. I would be so grateful for any thoughts about the thyroid test results I got today. TSH - 0.07 (0.27-4.2) Free T4 - 12.8 (12.0-22.0) Free T3 - 3.7 (3.1-6.8) I've been struggling since my thyroidectomy

Venetoclax for dummies
Venetoclax owes its origin to a lady named Eliza Hall, I bet AussieNeil has heard of her. Eliza was a lady from Melbourne Australia who married an Englishman named Walter Hall in 1874. Walter Hall and his two brothers arrived almost penniless in Australia in 1852, coming from England to search for

Flydoggy has flown, plant medicine journeys helped so much in our last year with him...so much.
Hello, I am Flydoggy's wife. My beautiful and amazing man crossed over on June 23rd at 4am, after an 8 1/2 year battle with this awful disease. He left calmly and peacefully, wrapped in his family. I am so sad that this cancer took him at 64 yrs old, he was vibrant and strong really, almost to the end

More NHS incompetency
I ordered a repeat prescription on 28th June, both with the GP and my regular pharmacist. As of today, I have still not received it and other prescription were initially delayed by many days. A palliative nurse called on Monday 03rd July to see how I was getting on with the medicines she has recommended
