Losing muscle strength fast.
I have PA and Hashimotos. In the last year my general strength has reduced noticeably, e.g. I feel as if I could dislocate my fingers easily! Very odd and worrying. I am 64 and active. Any advice please.

Does anyone else have Vitiligo
I have had Vitiligo since I was a child and wondered if there was a link to RA as after watching a BBC Three program on Vitiligo I found it was also another immune system fault. On a plus side it hasn't got much worse since being on the RA dmards.

Is it possible to buy Wockhardt levothyroxine without a prescription?
I went to see a new GP last week to discuss my latest thyroid blood tests. My results were as follows: Serum free T4 level 18.5 pmol/L [10.0 - 20.0] Serum TSH level 0.29 mu/L [0.5 - 4.4] Below low reference limit Serum free triiodothyronine level 5.0 pmol/L [3.5 - 6.5] This GP was very approachable and

Insulin Tolerance test privately
hi there my new endo would like me to have a Insulin tolerance test (ITT) done as my previous Short synacthen test was borderline - I think I have Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency due to a pituitary tumour. I wanted to get it done quickly rather than wait 3 months as just feel so ill all the time. However

Arm ache and some neck discomfort
Now 2 years after diagnosis I am on 3mg Pred daily for the last several months. I always feel that 'this is not the best time to reduce'. As I explained before - I am a full time carer for my husband - which brings its own stress. My question is....I had a sore neck (towards left side/ not stiff and

Homozygous Mutation in Human Serum Albumin and Its Implication on Thyroid Tests
Over the years, we have seen many, many test results posted here. Among them, there have been both Total T4 and Free T4. In the UK, we mostly see Free T4 without Total T4. Some of the private tests in the UK include Total T4 (I think always with Free T4 as well) and it also appears to be reasonably common

5-HTP
I’m thinking of trying 5-HTP. Are we ok taking this with having hashimotos and has anyone had and benefits themselves on this supplement? Thanks 5-HTP dietary supplements help raise serotonin levels in the brain. Since serotonin helps regulate mood and behavior, 5-HTP may have a positive effect on sleep

Should I take beta blockers
Been having my pulse running up some, and I'm noticing that I'm getting it more after hours after using the Methamizole my last TSH level a week ago was 4.76 high normal. Two weeks before that TSH it was 7.79. I'm taking 2.5 Methamizole once a day Monday and Friday. I'm wondering now if I'm going hyper

Had bad palpitations
Having bad palpitations. My TSH was 4.79 three days ago. Called Specialist and told not to worry. I'm thinking I might be going hyper since I have both graves and Hashimoto. She also told me to take the beta blockers if I need to. Do you think she should run another TSH test? I'm starting to take 2.5

I'm wondering now if I should start looking for another Thyroid Doctor.
So I went for another blood drawn on my TSH and haven't heard from my Specialist( had blood drawn yesterday) she usually calls the next day. Before I left I got a copy of my last TSH level which was 7.76 and the Specialist had left me a message to cut my pill of 5 mg of Methamizole in half and to take

AMN AND BACLOFEN WITHDRAWAL
I have terrible aches in my head, I feel like my bones in my brain are aching. Is this related to baclofen. Anyone went through a similar situation. I withdrew from baclofen about two months ago gradually.

TRHR gene defect
Anyone know anything about it? Apparently, genetically speaking, my thyroid is fantastic (I was expecting DIO2 defect, but mine is wonderful), but I have upstream problems with TRH receptor and TSH signalling (PDE8B). The blurb suggests that I would have higher TSH (compared to my Frees) but I have never
