New book by Paul Robinson

I'm told that Paul Robinson has just published a new book entitled "The Thyroid Patient's Manual" which is available on Amazon. In this he has obtained the services of Prof Rudolf Hoermann and Dr Henry Lindner to produce a comprehensive, yet eminently followable, practical guide to thyroid therapy in general, not just T3. Our recent work has been incorporated in total, giving the first overarching public airing of our new paradigm for thyroid treatment in book form. The book is available at Amazon for £17.95 if anyone is interested. I hope to read it myself and learn practically the process of proper control of treament from a patient.

I think it’s an excellent first book to get. I wish my GP or Endo in days gone by had had this book to refer to. Too late for me I think, but might have saved a lot of angst, stress and friction. There’s something about it being in book form, maybe regarded with credibility by the medical profession. And, consistent with its title, very useful to patients.

This is the link :

I notice that all the reviews on amazon.com and amazon.co.uk are 5 star reviews.

I haven't bought the book but I probably will soon. I wish it was available on Kindle. I notice that his earlier thyroid books are not on Kindle either, so I suppose I shouldn't bother expecting it with the latest one. However, I hate buying physical books these days. :(

I pre-ordered it but am still reading another one by Mark Starr first. Gone are the days I could read three books a week. I hate brain fog!

I noticed in his acknowledgements he thanks the people you have mentioned, Diogenes, as well as LouiseRoberts ! :D

Thanks! I've ordered it, I hope it will be useful!

I'm ordering this book. It gets excellent reviews on Amazon. I would have liked to have seen an example of the structure to the book, purely to see the topics covered and layout of the book. I feel the inclusion of your team's work will enhance the book substantially. Making it a must buy for me personally. I do hope the book is well referenced and something a GP or endo will treat as a more academic and authoritative text. I'm not a huge fan of self-publishing books as often the peer review element isn't there with only minor links to authoritative studies. I have his first book and my only criticism of it is the lack of an index and some unnecessary waffle. My opinion. Hope this one has an index for easy reference. Looking forward to it.

PS having looked at the description on Amazon it isn't obvious to anyone that the book includes content from Prof Hoermann and Dr Lindner. Unless I'm missing something! Maybe the book is a collection of research studies with practical treatment examples? e.g. Paul Robinson acts as book editor or something similar. Maybe PaulRobinson could clarify the format of the book?

In the acknowledgements section it says that Professor Hoermann and Dr Lindner have reviewed the book to ensure it's accuracy, so although Paul probably did all the writing himself their ideas are nevertheless comprehensively presented.

I'm told it's anything but that. It is a practical guide to thyroid treatment by whatever therapy + the research background supporting the practicality. Hoermann & Lindner are thanked in the Acknowledgements.

I see. When you said Robinson had obtained the services of Hoermann and Lindner I thought they were more involved! Suppose they are indirectly, through his interpretation of their work. Hopefully it helps a lot of people. Being in the not-so-exclusive self-medication club it could be useful to fine tune my current regimen.

Thank You Diogenes for the heads up on the new book by Paul Robinson . I received it a few days ago . I found it to be so very informative . I looked forward to this book especially . Though I have Mr Robinsons other books as well and continue to enjoy them . This book talks about the combinations of dosing T4 /T3 /NDT . Having had TT and my thyroids no longer produce T4 /T3 I was looking for a book like this and I was not disappointed . Mr Robinson has a very nice way of writing and explaining well from his own experiences and information he acquired along his thyroid journey .

Thank You .
