Good news and bad
I just received my second denial letter from SSDI for disability benefits. The disability attorney that I am working with tells me that this is sadly very typical, and that I will likely not be approved until I meet with an administrative law judge, which could be up to two years from now. Born left handed 'switched' to right hand, could I return to being left handed after 50 years?
I was born left handed 62 years ago, then at school my teacher 'persuaded' me to being right handed. Hit on left wrist every time I used left hand. I now have nerve damage on my right arm, "schwannomas", would it be feasible to learn to go back to being left handed again, or make do with a slow right

Elevated direct bilirubin and liver enzymes
Hi ! It’s so comforting finding a space where parents are familiar with this roller coaster experience . Up until 5 months ago I couldn’t even tell you what the liver did. We got rushed to the hospital in December when my baby was 9 weeks old because of his elevated direct bilirubin and liver enzymes

Skin pigmentation changes
Ive been taking Sinimet for over 11 years in mostly increasing increments and am wondering if that alone could be the cause of me being accused of "tanning" OMG by three people in unrelated circumstances the past few weeks. Like tanning would help make a 6 decade old PD ridden carcass look any better

Ampyra
I had taken 4-AP in compounded form years ago but did not feel much difference. I started Ampyra ER 2 months ago and have been a little surprised. I don't walk much (falling results in bone breaks) but I do exercise on a recumbent elliptical and use leg weight machines. Huge difference in strength

Should I get a second opinion
I am 39 year old female with a history of being pretty healthy until I started feeling bad a couple of years ago. For years my MPV has been low and my MCH is high but both are just barely out of range. I’ve been feeling really crummy for around 2-3 years now. I had some blood work done last week and

ua billirubin
To anyone who has suffered from jaundice, did your pcp ever check bilirubin level with a ua? If so did the levels match what was shown in the blood sample?

Tirosint
Hi Can someone tell me if Tirosint is T3 or just T4 in a gel form, and is it absorbed by the body more easily and therefore better than tablets? Will doctors prescribe it or is it too expensive? Thank you.

Switching Back to T4 Only - Did I Do It Right?
I recently went hyper from adding T3 to my regimen. My endo advised me to stop all thyroid meds for 3 days, then drop the T3, and take only T4. So I went FROM: 5 mcgs of T3 twice a day *50 mcgs of Tirosint once a day (*this was up to 88 mcgs of Tirosint when I went hyper, we went down to 50 a couple

Addisons?
Hi I am a 30 year old female and have had problems with feeling tired, aching in hips, headaches, low blood sugar. I had my cortisol tested last week and it's 156. Could this be Addisons? Thankyou

Tirosint alternative to Levo T4
Has anyone suffering from hair loss due to levothyroxine tried Tirosint. If so has the hair loss stopped and I'd this drug available in the nhs?

Zombie!
Hi there, I'm Steph, 41, and a scoliosis sufferer. I've tried many meds on the scale and Am currently on 200 pregab morning and night. And 30mg zomorph morning and night. I have finally found a level that combats my pain which is excellent. However, I get home of an evening and am completely useless.

Fenofibrate and kidney:Increase in serum creatinine
Fenofibrate has been used for the management of atherogenic dyslipidaemia for many years. Reports of fenofibrate-associated increases in serum creatinine (SCr) levels raised concerns regarding deleterious effects on renal function. Fenofibrate may not be a nephrotoxic drug. However, a close monitoring
