After being released from the hospital, how often did you have
physiotherapy
sessions and did you have a follow up session with the surgeon? What were some of the things you were restricted from or had trouble doing after you went home? How long before you got back to "normal".

Downward Spiral
I was told by a professor of neurology that I had MS. He also told me that there were local support groups but not to go to them as there would be people there who would be much worse than me and it could be depressing. This was 33 years ago. About 15 years ago my diagnosis was changed to FND on the

Covid booster after 3rd primary vaccine.
Covid booster sorted. I spoke to my GP surgery today about my Covid booster as I couldn't book online. They checked and confirmed that the 3rd primary vaccine had been recorded as a booster by the vaccination centre. They promised to sort it within a week and get back to me. Twenty minutes later they

Burning legs
I want to appeal to all the knowledgeable RLS sufferers to see if they can help my dear husband who has been suffering from burning feet and legs. It has been diagnosed as a nerve trapped in lower spine which has been troublesome for years and is pretty wonky. He has had cortisone injections in the past

Hi All, my bloods were done three weeks ago, prior to seeing my Haemo Man, for the first face to face, in 20 months or so. It went well and I was told that things were moving at the pace he expected, and that he was not concerned A few days later, my Physio noticed a largish lump under my armpit. I

Hi, I am a new joiner, I am 60 and retired from a high pressured and demanding job 2 years ago. I had a heart attack in May 2021 which resulted in one stent. Initially I was very shocked, then the fear, then relief I was fixed. I adjusted very quickly and within one month was back to walking 5 miles

Advice on physio
Hello All! My first post :) I had Facial cancer ( Carcinoma Squamous) around 2 years ago and lost part of my cheek, bit of nose and most of top lip. Had various surgeries, 9 so far and more are to come My mouth is quite deformed now, top and low lip are wonky and I’m still getting used to my new look

Greater Trochanteric hip bursitis
I've been seeing a physio for the above, and gluteal medius tendinopathy. I'm going through the menopause, and she said she sees a lot of women my age with this problem. My GP has sent me for x-rays of my hip and then will refer me to a Musculoskeletal service, dependent upon what this throws up. My

Hi all - new to this network and looking for some advice - been having lower abdominal pain and difficulties with trapped wind since around Feb 2020 - I had a bunch of bloods and stool sample done in May 2020- all normal - I’ve had a baby during this time and the pain persisted throughout my pregnancy

Update
I still haven't been in touch with my GP. But I did have a telephone consult with the Specialist Nurse. I asked if I could restart the biologic but she agreed with the consultant. I asked about my inflamatory markers and was told as per usual that it could be because of my weight. I told her about the

TBI. Symptoms regarding walking Differently
Has anyone else had an unusual gait after a TBI? It’s been almost 13 years now since I was mugged and attacked, which caused bleeding and swelling on my brain. I have limbs that are weak and shake randomly having been through countless physio sessions the strength never returned properly. When I walk

New here. I experienced two moments without tinnitus after 2 months
I'm trying to understand what happened...whether it was food, medicine,
physiotherapy
, acupuncture, peace, prayer, exercise. I'm looking for explanations. I had COVID in March 2021. I got vaccinated in May 2021. I took an area trip in June 2021 and I got tinnitus in July 2021.

Newly diagnosed heart condition and fibromyalgia flare - can't take any meds!
Hi all I haven't posted yet because very soon after my fibromyalgia diagnosis a few months ago, my newly prescribed fibromyalgia medication (my first half a dose) sent me into hypertensive crisis. It turns out this is because I have an underlying heart condition, which makes it difficult for my heart

Integrating a holistic approach to kidney health
What happens when 3 women in London, a renal physio, renal dietician and yoga teacher/nutritional therapist (that's me!) chat. All of us, working with kidneys in different contexts, coming together in honest dialogue. Chairing this panel yesterday, 'Integrating a holistic approach to kidney health'

Had my Cardio - physio assessment this morning
It wasn't too bad although I realise how unfit I am, I was struggling to answer what kind of exercise I currently do. I did the bleep test, something I haven't done for about 30 years, we went to level 6 to get my heart rate to 120 but obviously the physio said she would be looking for constant improvement
