Is this take 3 or take 4?

I’m giving this running malarkey another go! I first graduated in 2018, then 2020. In winter 2021 I tore both my ACL (grade 2) and MCL and rehabilitated through almost a year of physio. My main aim was getting back to scuba diving which I can now do with a knee brace. I did 3 months of Joe Wicks hiit classes to get a bit more cardio fitness (minus the heavy on the knees exercises) and now have started back on C25K on a treadmill (less chance to re injure while strengthening apparently).

Interested in anyone else’s experience post ACL injury, did you do the program straight or amended? I intend to mix in some hiit

Ive been procrastinating about this for 2 weeks so I’m writing this to have some accountability!! Just did W1R1 👍 I’ve never had Steve Cram as a coach, he’s so encouraging!!

Hi Crittermad I’m afraid I can’t help with your query about ACL, but I’ll be restarting the programme in a few weeks, once I can at least walk 5K.

I’ve had 6 weeks in hospital after a major incident, but I’m on the mend now and keen to get running as soon as I’m allowed! 🏃‍♂️The hospital are happy to support my return to running, as long as I take it sensibly ( (which I will 🙂)

Very best of luck with your ACL and return to running 👍
