More Blood Work
So I received more if my blood work and instead of having one positive antibody I have 3 out of 6 on the panel that was done. Still no sign of lupus, my specialist just said that this is overwhelming proof of my APS. Also my vitamin D came back at 10 so I've been ordered to take 7500 units per day, which

Help
Hello. I've just been put on the FODMAP diet by my GP and peppermint oil tablets because I'm suffering really badly with IBS to the point it's making me depressed. I've only been on the diet a few days and finding it really hard, not because I don't have the willpower. I really do. But because I can't

Blood thinners eg. Eliquis and osteoarthritis supplements
I was diagnosed with afib two years ago and have been on the blood thinner, Eliquis, since that time. I have experienced no bleeding episodes or bruising while on this medication. I am 73 years (young) and do have severe osteoarthritis. i'm wondering what the drug history/ interaction of blood thinners

Please help :(
Sorry if this post is long. So I have suffered with anxiety for a few years now and it has gotten progressively worse. It seems as though I am constantly faced with a new symptom that completely consumes me. Once I conquer one, a new one appears. First, I had difficulty swallowing, then difficulty breathing

American TV ads for NOACs.
Whilst in the USA 2 weeks ago I watched several news channels including CNN and was amazed at how much medical advertising there was. In particular I saw at least 6 advertisements for the new anticoagulants Xarelto and Eliquis. One advertisement featured an aged Arnold Palmer and a group of men on

Ginger tummy rub for pain
Hi lovely ladies, Just thought I'd pass this on for anyone suffering from cramps, period pains and, well any pain from inflammation. Works if you have lower back pain too. Gently rub a little oil on your tummy - the best is sesame, but who has that to hand readily in their cupboards, so a little olive

Aspirin Facts
In several posts, I've seen references to NOT using aspirin. What is this about? Does anyone have any links to research about it? Background: 50 year old female. Diagnosed with AF in early June 2014. Could not control it with medication, and I stayed in AF constantly. Had ablation in July 2014

Aspirin
For some reason when I visited my EP two months ago he put me on Eliquis and told me told hold off on the aspirin. My cardiologist told me not to stop the aspirin. Well to make a long story short I never restarted the aspirin. Been feeling fine and a lot of the breathless symptoms I had while exercising

Question about raising NDT
My daughter has been taking 60mg of compounded NDT for 4 weeks (raised from 45), in addition to amino acids and vitamins to help with mood symptoms. Hair is breaking and dry, very cold, and tired. Mood much worse. Got her labs back yesterday (compared to 45 mgs) - our Dr requires that labs be drawn 3
