Hello all, Out of curiosity, does anyone know if there's an actual definitive test for Lyme disease? Thank you.

Hi my LG had bacterial meningitis at 5 weeks old she is 2 and half now and recently had a follow up appointment and audiology. Her hearing test passed but she had a problem with the tubes behind her ear drum. It's called esthachain tube dysfusion had anyone else had problems with this before or could

Request for shared experience - brain abscess
I am recovering from a brain abscess and wonder if anyone would share what the recovery process was like for them if possible. I am tremendously tired and often have head pain and wonder if this is normal.

Available nerve pain treatments
Hello, I was wondering if anyone else could offer advice on what medication is available for nerve pain. Has anybody tried different meds and found that some work better than others? Also, are nerve block injections effective at reducing pain in this area? The pain is so bad I can't drive at the moment

not sure what wrong with me part 2.
even my doctors are not sure what wrong with me. My doctors stop prescribing me with pain killers. With my connection in the pharmaceutical company and i was formally working in the pharmacy I managed to get my pain killers. Now I am only physiotherapy, tried tens, pens, western acupuncture but all failed

I am Hashimotos
I Am Hashimoto's Hi. My name is Hashimoto's. I'm an invisible autoimmune disease that attacks your thyroid gland causing you to become hypothyroid. I am now velcroed to you for life. Others around you can't see me or hear me, but YOUR body feels me. I can attack you anywhere and any way I please

Everything happens at once!
Hi everyone. I have had Flu- proper horrible can't-move-I'm-definitely-dying Flu, which set me back a little, as staying in bed for days caused excruciating muscle spasm and sciatica (of course). But I'm pretty much over it now, and all at once I find I have appointments coming out of my ears. I wish

Pain clinic
I think this is the first time I've written although I follow the posts daily. I have Behcets and hereditary sensory neuropathy (Charcot Marie Tooth disease). It is on the same spectrum as muscular dystrophy. The two things cause multiple problems and I am never free of pain or ulcers and skin problems

MenB Vaccine to be introduced.
Finally, the Meningitis B vaccine will be available for free on the NHS as part of the childhood immunisation programme. It comes after we part funded the research which led to development of the jab and after years of tireless campaigning from our team and you, our supporters. We know that this

Nantes
Ok, so I'm thinking of ditching Dr B and heading to Nantes. What I've heard here about their approach regarding diagnostic root nerve blocks chimes with my thinking, and although Dr b will do blocks without steroid, the fact that he recommends it concerns me. I'm also keen not to be sedated. So, can

Tens and Iceland supermarket
I have recently posted regarding my Tens machine and how good it is, and also regarding my recent experience with help packing the carrier bags at Iceland, but I don't know if they ever got posted as I can't see them. It is an effort to type so I don't want to waste my time if I am not posting them
