  • Morning Linz and firstly a big welcome to the site. I hope we will be able to help you find some answers .

Have you seen a rheumatologist and what medicines have you been given?

One of the good aspects of this site is the knowledge the members hold is very useful

but do remember to talk to your Doctor .

Okay here is our Mother site address good place for information

So welcome good luck I am usually about :)

  • Hi I agree with Linz. I have recently been to see a rhematolgist, and she told me I had early osteoarthritis. I had x rays over a year ago, however my hopeless GP failed to let me know this. The pain is terrible. So, I know what you are going through. You probably feel every day tasks, like climbing stairs, or even putting your coat on hurts you. I cuddle a hot water bottle for comfort. Look after yourself. Karen from the UK xxxxxx

  • Hi Linz, I feel like I could have written your post myself! The heavy leaden and pain in my pelvis lower back and now legs brings tears to my eyes most mornings, I thought I had a high pain threshold but this is something else! I rang my doctors on monday as pain was terrible over last weekend, and cannot get to see the doctor until next Monday! I find the pain and heavy feeling is so much worse in a morning, but I am getting where I dread going to bed as my legs and thighs hurt even to touch, and I know what I will be like when I have to get up! I have started to have epsom salt baths, its early days so I havent felt the benefits just yet, but after reading other posts I am hoping for some relief. The frustration is the fact that my mind wants me to be as mobile and busy as I always was, but my actual physical body wont allow it, it seems a really hard acceptance, I hope we together get some "better" days soon, I try and stay as positive as possible, but hey- we are only human! Some days we are allowed a bit of time off to 'feel a little bit' of why me and why cant I?

    Take care, regards Emm
