My friend's annoying comment
I posted the below about Hashimoto's disease after I've just been diagnosed after 18 years of struggling (you know the usual story) and my friend responded in an ignorant way that really annoyed me and I wanted to share it with you and see if anyone here thinks she's right?! First here is what started

Week 8 Run 1 eventually

Shingles when you're immunosuppressed

Nerve blocks and/or epidurals
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone has had any of the above treatments and whether they've been effective. I have been on pretty much all of the medications: amitriptyline, pregabalon, gabapentin, tramadol, lidocaine patches etc and none of them work. I have flares constantly, I rarely sleep and am

Anyone had Greater Occipital Nerve Block for Migraine??
I'm due to try this in June as having a terrible time with my migraines and having to come off my Topiramate and Amitriptyline as I am TTC. Has anyone has a GON? Has it been effective? How painful was it? Any info and advice would be amazing thanks. Amanda x

has anyone had a problem with bone fractures?
As I've previously posted, I have APS and Factor V Leiden. I was diagnosed about one and a half years ago after a history of DVT several times in my leg. I started warfarin and lovenox Sept 2013, and am now on Warfarin for life. I have been self testing since Nov. 2014 In the past 2 1/2 years I have

Treating Thyroid patients like children - Dr Malcolm Kendrick
A great piece of supportive writing for those who need alternative thyroid medication. http://drmalcolmkendrick.org/ Here is an imagined, but not far off the truth, conversation between a doctor and a patient. ‘Why can’t I have T3 doctor? I feel so much better when I do?’ ‘Because I say so, now

Hi all, my story so far. I have been experiencing what my doctor suspects is Raynaud's. Deathly white fingers and toes. Along with this I am suffering with joint, muscle and bone pain, pretty much all over my body. I had a burning pain in my hips and was prescribed Reliflex, which didn't really help

Finally a doctor who listened!
I went to my new Gp three months ago, just to get a new perception of my pill. He told me I should not be on it long term. He said it was a risk and I had put on a few pounds since i had last been weighed by a doctor. I panicked at his comments and went away to think about the other methods of contraception
