Pain advice
I was diagnosed last summer with RA. Taking Methotrexate and Prednisolone(for 2 months now). Pain relief is Meloxicam 15mg a day. I work part time. The last few weeks my pain and inflammation has ramped up. And, I'm not sure what to do next? My Rheumatologist has suggested adding in Sulfazaline. I'm

Still recovering from my 2nd bout of Meningitis
Hi everyone. I was rushed into hospital at the end of November 2016 with my 2nd bout of meningitis in 2 years. After the first bout I was left with a constant headache, fatigue, forgetfulness etc. Now it's even worse. I'm 53 but feel so much older. I also suffer from pernicious anaemia and colitis/BAM

"I had an autoimmune disease. Then the disease had me."
This New Yorker article from a few years ago showed up in my inbox today. Some may have seen it already but, like me, may enjoy revisiting it. It may be new for others. A Hashimoto's sufferer, she writes eloquently and insightfully about life with autoimmune disease. Apparently, she has since been

Brain Injury
In July 2016 I fell 8 feet and hit my head at work. This journey has effected my family and myself terribly and we feel like we aren't getting any answers. I've had CT scans, MRI, and x-rays of my head, the only thing that came back positive was the EEG. They've given me everything from Tylenol 3 to

Memory Loss Post 2 Year Meningitis
I was diagnosed with viral meningitis in Oct 2014. In hospital for 3 nights. I've only had 1 or 2 follow up appointments since. I had a lingering headache that occurred almost every day for a year. These have subsided unless I have nights with little sleep Now I'm starting to find myself forgetting

'Beyond Hope?' Anyone got advice or help for migraine prevention?
Has anyone been told by their GP or consultant that they've tried everything and they don't know what else to do? I am feeling hopeless. 34yrs, mum of 3yr old, working, lots commitments/interests, dieting, enjoy cycling/swimming/walking when well. Been told I'm in worst 5% migraine sufferers in the UK

Viral Meningitis from West Nile
I'm new to this group, and am so happy I found this site. I had VM from West Nile 17 months ago, and even though I am so much better I still have fatigue, headaches, fuzzy head, confusion, memory problems, etc., enough so that I have been unable to return to work. I am in the US, and have not been able

Severe pain 10 weeks post Endometriosis Surgery
Hi Everyone, Hoping to get some experience and hope here from those that have more experience or knowledge with this! I had endo excision surgery in November with a reputable surgeon - founder of the endo foundation (so I can't say I didn't see a specialist or a skilled surgeon). I woke up from surgery

Something has to work!
Fired up my TENS machine today. I have no idea how to use it. I've read the instructions and put the pads on where I think they should go. I don't know what it's meant to feel like or anything. I think a trip to the pharmacy is in order to ask them for a bit of help! I also bought a bottle of CBD oil

APS and vaccines
I just read an article that swears APS is linked to the tetanus vaccine. Is this true or a conspiracy theory?
