Tens machine
Thank you for the reply I'm going to get one tomorrow and give it a go I need to try something else I can't afford to be off work so I'm thinking a wireless one so I can wear it at work if I need to x
Hi there!
I've had mine for years and I'm really happy with them. I've used them for a number of things but primarily endo pain, front and back abdomen. I have a larger one for home use (4 corded pads) for more widespread pain, and a mini one for more discrete or localised use. I'll try find the links!
Here's the small one I have: amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Mini-... - useful for travel but a pain when the battery runs out as mine has :(.
Larger one looks like: amazon.co.uk/dp/B0153ODXSI?... but isn't that one, I got it at Lloyds.
I don't know if they have 'proven' use, but I really do find that they have been valuable for me over the years. If nothing else its a good distraction from the pain and can be used for a number of different things.
Just be sure to start off on the low settings and only work up if you feel comfortable, don't push it!
Good luck, I really hope this can help you or provide some relief.
Hugs x
I was at physiotherpy once where they used one on me, it helped with the pain in my legs and back.
They send electromagnetic messages to your nerves to calm them down and relax them.
Used this one for years and it was brilliant. Meant I could actually function at work.
I used it for a few weeks trial and it proved a good distraction but didn't help with my pain. But as they are pretty cheap it's worth a try as clearly v useful for some.
My mam bought me one from boots and although pain is still there it is a good distraction....may well upgrade to a wireless one though!
Hi I use a small pendant one with disposable gel pads, so they don't stick into me when I am laying flat in bed. I have used it for years and it gives me relief for pelvic pain when I use it on my back. It can be an irritating feeling at first, then as the pain subsides feels more relaxing. My physio advised to apply to either side of spine, not directly on spine. I think they are well worth the money, try to find one with in built recharge batteries or it gets expensive. good luck.
Thank you all for replying I'm going to go and get one and give it a try. Thank you all again it's so nice to get opinions from people that know what I'm talking about x
My grandma got me one and it's been fab. It has helped so I don't use a hot water bottle all the time and I have it running when I'm busy around the house as I can tuck it into a pocket. I have one where the gel pads can be re-stuck if a little amount of water is rubbed on. It also has a massage setting which has been relaxing. x
