Just wondered has anyone else tried one of these for endo pain? I'm using one at the minute and have to say it is easing the pain!

TENS machines in labour...
I was just after some advice on using a TENS machine during labour... My midwife has suggested it might be useful for the early stages so I've been looking into them. It seems silly hiring one when they're around the same price to buy but when my husband went to purchase the Lloyds one, the woman told

Staying positive after bacterial meningitis
Hi everyone. Nearly all the stories I've read on here have been very upsetting and I really feel for the people involved. It is life changing but I'm writing this to try and give people some hope and to let you know that if you're lucky and with support you can recover from this horrendous illness.

40 years ago someone discovered a cure for anxiety and agrophobia.
Right now, there are so many postings from people with anxiety disorder and agrophobia who feel like giving up. Most are bewildered by what's happened to them and have no idea how to escape from the maze of symptoms and strange feelings. Many have been searching for an answer for years. Yet more than

No treatment options available to me
I was diagnosed recently with Hughes/Lupus & Sjogrens and they tried me on Plaquanil and the side effects and reaction was too profound, I had a letter today saying that mepacrine could be an option but it is much less likely to work and I could suffer similar adverse effects. And due to the fact that

Anything instead of hot water bottle
Hi folks. Can any of you suggest anything instead of hot water bottle? Someone has mentioned heat pads in the past but I wonder if anyone has tried a TENS machine? It's for my daughter. Thanks for your support.

Nerve Blocks - Questions!
Hi Everyone - Hoping to get some insight and info! What is the difference between a lumbar sympathetic block and a ganglion impar block?? Trying to navigate my way through this. For instance, which nerves and areas does each attack. Any positive experiences? Thank you! *and please, no negative posts

Hi everyone. I had VM about ten years ago which left me in the hospital month. Docs said the first two days were 50/50 I'm would survive because I was also diagnosed with HIV/Aids at the same time. So I kinda got the double whammy. I was always the type that thought nothing would ever happen to me but

Low results on nerve conduction test. Meaning?
I went in today for a NCV, and and EMG. The nvc showed that my nerves in both my legs had a "slower then we like" results. The EMG showed no pinching or cutting into my nerves were happining. He also had me run blood work today also, lyme disease was included. What could be causing this? I was shocked

Stop giving Anxiety permission to make your life a misery.
If you're suffering from anxiety don't just put up with it and hope it will go away. Whatever the symptoms you should take control of your recovery as so many other people have done on this forum successfully. The first thing to understand is how anxiety works. It's usually preceeded by a period of worry

My consultant offered me acdf which I was supposed to have on 28th but after an MDT meeting today they have decided to try a nerve block

Help anyone?
I was diagnosed with seronegative RA last summer. I am currently on Methotrexate 25mg, prednisolone and Meloxicam for pain management. I will probably be having sulfasalazine added in a few weeks. The last few weeks, I've been really suffering with pain managemen and have been prescribed something to
