Circumcision recovery
I'm 67 and had a circumcision today. I was due to have a general anaesthetic but because of mild asthma, ended up with two spinal injections. The first didn't work and had to be repeated. That prep took 40 minutes in itself. The operation went well at around 40 minutes also. However, the in-unit recovery

Neck pain after VM
My VM symptoms started 8/6 with the crushing headache that felt like it was going to end my life. Followed by about 7 doctors who just kept telling me I had a migraine and a LP that wasn't done till 9/11 by basically a 13 year old out of medical school who played a game of operation with the procedure

Viral meningitis and swollen optic nerve
Hi I recently had a very bad headache, sensitive scalp, fever and vomiting. The head sensitivity I can best describe as feeling like bad sunburn across my scalp. I spent the best part of 2 weeks in bed, mostly sleeping and hardly eating. Went to my GP who arranged a blood test which showed nothing untoward

A nerve block in the neck?

Pundendal pain and diet
Hi, I've been told I need a nerve block for pundendal pain. The consultation lasted less than 5 mins and I got no advice at all. I've booked physio, but a bit of reading suggests diet may be contributing as I'm intolerant to a growing list of foods. Has anyone had positive help from a nutritionist, I

PTNS for overactive bladder anyone?
Just wondered if anyone has had a child receive Nerve Stimulation Treatment for Overactive Bladder and how they've got on with the process? My 8 year old boy has improved on the frequency side of things over the last 4 years but is still left with extreme urgency, all of which shows from the Urodynamics

Hi everyone,I'm a new poster
Looking back over the years,I realise I had RLS intermittently. Then 4 yrs ago after a fall from a stepladder resulting in severe back pain I had a nerve block procedure, to cut a really traumatic period short, I'm now suffering daily with rls (just in my legs and feet) and am currently taking pramipexole

Hi folks, have just found this page so this is my first post. I wanted to share our story.. My daughter was diagnosed with meningitis at 8 days old, due to group b Strep. It was something we had never heard of, despite having another child, so it was all a bit of a blur. Not knowing it was something

Mom with shingles...should I be concerned?
Hi, I am a caregiver for my 87 year old mother, who is in good physical health otherwise. She was recently diagnosed with a mild case of shingles. One doctor says no worries, my oncologist says to stay away from her. I really cannot find a definitive answer anywhere. Help? I have not had direct
