Did I have Encephalitis?
I was in hospital for 3 months last year with a brain infection they described as "an encephalitic illness". I'm still getting letters from the hospital saying "it wasn't this, that or the other thing we've tested for". I'm so confused. I guess I didn't have Encephalitis, just brain swelling, but it

TENS machine
Just a thought! Anyone have experience using a TENS machine for their loved ones pains and stiffness. I did a search but nothing came up. My hubby is not in pain yet but I see many are in pain and I am looking ahead, building up a notebook of tips etc. As the TENS machine works on impulses to the nerves

Due to an arthritic wrist, I am scheduled to have a nerve block in my arm. If anyone reading this has had the treatment could you tell me if 1) if it was successful 2) how long the arm is in a sling after treatment 3)any tips or hints to aid recovery.

Hi. My name is Victoria. My husband had an AN removed 10 months ago. It was 3.5 cm, calcified, and pushing against his brain stem. They had to sacrifice some nerves(7th and 8th). He doesn't have any facial function on the left side, but has had the 5th to 7th nerve transfer and nerve reconstruction

Provoked fit
I recently tried a tens machine whilst in America and had a provoked fit. The whole episode was very scary. I'm wondering does this now make me prone to another fit or not and was it simply caused by the Tens machine. The pads were placed either side of the base of my neck and i was wondered if it

‘Pain therapy Intrasound’ Home treatment units - anyone tried them?
So these are for sale in boots in the pain relief section: intrasound therapy units. I wondered if anyone has tried one for their endo before I go paying £100 for one. They say they increase blood flow to an area - I’m not sure if that would be a good idea or not, but my pain is throughout my cycle

Tough decision: Zoladex and HRT or perservere with the pain somehow (trialling TENS)
Hi all, In January, I had a laparoscopy to remove an 8cm endometrioma from my right ovary and adhesiolysis. I was found to have severe endo in my pelvis and they couldn't remove all of it nor the growths which are on and around my bowel and right kidney. I have had two hospital stays since the op due

I HAVE MISSED YOU ALL
So I have been having such a bad streak since my hubby and I returned from Las Vegas at the beginning of the month. After I came back, with two broken ribs from falling in the hotel room bathroom the 2nd night we were there and spending the whole 3rd day in a crappy hospital ER in Las Vegas, I fell

Bacterial Meningitis
Hello I’m wondering if anybody can help me or offer me any words of advice? I’m a 42 year old active male, on the evening of 19th February I had a mild headache. But woke early hours 20th with a server headache, then started being sick. I thought I’d got a migraine and stayed in bed until lunchtine

Not ready for this week!...
This week is the period week. Finished the pill last night. Iv been having hot sweats since Saturday night, I know endometriosis can make you have hot sweats, I hoping it’s that and not something else. Iv got pjs sorted for the weeks, how water bottle, tens machine and chocolate at the ready. But

Using cannabis for RLS
I'm a long term sufferer of RLS. Mine comes on in the evening when I'm trying to relax after a long day. I've never sought out any medication. Choosing instead to use a TENS unit wen the symptoms get really hard to deal with. That works fine for me. Last year I hurt my back and herniated a disc. I was
