TENS machines
Hi hun- I use one daily, I have a mobile version fastened to my lower back which helps with movement, esp. planting in garden, stooping to pick up (I cannot squat as i cannot get back up) very cheap to buy on ebay and LLoyds do a good one.
Thank you all i didnt want to waste more money on mirical products etc. And im fed up of havibg to take pills before i can even walk comfortably. So ill get back on amazon and order 2 thanks everyone
Yes in the distant days when pain clinics gave them out free!
They encourage your own natural pain relief endorphins to work.
Very successful at that time

I find them very helpful, good for distracting you away from the pain, I have one at home and I also keep one at work. They are no longer expensive to buy, think I got the smaller one I use at work from Lloyds chemists for about £15.
I do have one was fantastic when I shattered my collar bone they wouldn't operate as it would be a lengthy operation using metal they didn't think I would pull through it I didn't need any painkiller was frantic one morning my cat had chewed part of a wire we had t buy another tens machine but with fribromyalgia the pain travels sometimes its just my knees

stear clear of the High st. health shop hun they are day light robbers and do no good at all, any extra vits see gp for blood tests first and they will give you high strength if you need any...
Yes i agree as to many vitamins can be bad for health iron if you dont need it.get tested and then decide i needed vitamin d but you have to buy these.very cheap.
I use my tens machine all of the time. I can't live without it. Brilliant. Once you get used to it You will wonder why you have not used one before. Hope You get on okay x
Ohh thank you i will im looking forward to my new machine. Painclinic told me to go swimming twice a week too so will try that
I tried swimming but the cold water isnt for me, I use a hydrotherapy pool weekly at my local hospital, its heaven!
Oh i wish i could have that.i only have shower and all i want is to lie in warm water.
TENS can be a great help in controlling and coping with pain. I have been using them for the past 40 years!!!
Wouldn't be without mine. It's invaluable for when I have extra lower back pain and don't want to take more medication.

Yes I have one but for wide spread pain it just doesn’t have enough leads. It works great for local pain back, leg or arm pain but not wide spread pain.
its not meant for widespread pain. That's why its shaped the way it is. Treat 1 area at a time and do not be tempted to by multiple machines
Didnt work for my fibro pain at all.accupunctre did but id need it every day but did help on day and few hours after then pain.
Hi Ellie, after about 20 yrs of fibro pain the opportunity presented it’s self for acupuncture 1 session free so I went and it was relaxing and did help but insurance doesn’t cover it.🤷🏼♀️ I think the accumulative effect over several treatments would make a big difference for fibro pain. 🤗💕🦋
Yes you are right here in uk although treatment free it was only monthly every 2 days would be great but i cant either as would need to go private.x
It was a promotion that a chiropractor’s office was offering free acupuncture or massage so I choose the acupuncture just because I never tried it. Massages work too to break up the knots in your muscles. If you can get it 2days a month that is better than none. Especially if insurance or state covers the cost.
