Do TENS machines help pain?

I’m thinking of buying one and was wondering if anyone has had success with them helping lower back pain and stomach pain of different ranges (sharp to dull achy to period cramps)

Also is there any particular one I should buy?

Thank you 💕

I spent £100 on a special endo one and it didn't help - actually spread the pain down to my feet - but lots of people swear by them. I know boots do cheaper ones that you could try.

I’ve seen one called mylivia and that doesn’t work apparently but it’s like £150 I think.

I nearly fell for it till I saw the price and reviews. Literally my hot water bottle is doing nothing rn to help the sharp pains

Princessk09 I've been looking into this too. I've seen mixed reviews but willing to try. If anyone has any recommendations please post

I’ve seen one in Argos and people in the reviews commented saying they have endo and it helped their pain

Hi Princessk09

I had never heard of one until my doc mentioned it.

I've had endo for 7 yeaes and this is the only thing that gives me instant relief. It only helps when I'm using it and I pressume it's because it's distracting me but I love it.

I too didn't want to spend a fortune so got the below machine from Amazon to see 1st. It's AMAZING and even if you didn't like it's less than £20 x

Hope the link works

I used to start at the smallest and work up until it started to work but I never got relief.

For the past year I’ve been trying so many things to help my period pain but found nothing xx

I got a TENS machine a couple months ago from Lloyds Pharmacy. It was about £15-20. It's weird but I found it did help with moderate pain. It definitely helped me to get to sleep a few times.

I'd try one of the cheaper ones and see if it helps any.

I got one from Lloyds pharmacy and it had heat with it and found it helped a lot, I think the combination made a difference as I had previously had just a normal tens before and it did help but the heated one I found worked better x

Thank you, I’m gonna try and get one today I think as the pain is getting worse in my lower stomach. Like I can’t pee without having a sharp pain afterwards. It’s not a UTI as I’ve been checked and it was clear xx

I got the boots mini tens machine. It looks a bit like a butterfly and sticks onto your skin. It's discreet as I wore it at work (hospital) and out it cost £20 and the gel pads are replaceable at £7 a pack. They lasted a couple of months with me. I found it great at my pain- leg, stomach and back

Hi

I've started using a tens machine for pelvic pain and it helps sometimes depending on the severity of pain etc. I can only tolerate it on its lowest setting due do where I place it but I really would recommend it. For the price you can't go wrong :)

I hope it helps you x

I brought a cheap one on amazon I think it was £15 and you can get it and the pads from the pharmacy at superdrug or tescos. It doesn't help my pelvic pain but does help with my lower back pain and it sometimes what makes the difference between whether I can walk or not. It's worth a try as it is pretty instant relief :) hope you find something to help you soon xx
