Hi Teresa,

I use a TENS unit and it helps with my RLS symptons when they are severe. These electrical stimulae don't cure any part of RLS but choosing the right mode and intensity and placing the pads are key to masking symptoms for some relief. Place one pad on the bottom of your foot and the other either on your lower back or the back of your upper thigh. I use Ropinirol to manage my RLS generally. But if I miss a dose or have a difficult evening I use the TENS to help bridge the gap, settle things down and get to sleep. The units usually have timers so they will shut down in your sleep. I wish you well and hope this helps you.
