Staying strong
Everything was done out of court his way..... the more I let him abuse me even through co-
parenting
.... my children would suffer less consequences. And therefore would suffer less because of their moms choices.

Coming to terms with Anxiety Disorder
(Not to put blame on my mother, because she was, as said, a victim of her own mental disorders, and she came from a very rough background herself, so she didn't recognize her
parenting
as abuse. And she's no longer with us, so it's not something I can really work out with her for closure.)

"I have always known that I am not alone in this treatment, but therapy has helped me accept that I am not the problem."
Rumors about my daughter and my
parenting
start to get out of hand when I do something that goes against what is "suggested" to me. I felt foolish. I have always known that I am not alone in this treatment, but therapy has helped me accept that I am not the problem.

Difficult Dates
After all, there is no manual, no instructions for
parenting
or indeed for life. Their own upbringing of course impacted their own development along the way. They were, in many ways, damaged children themselves.

I've mentioned counseling and us even taking some
parenting
classes to learn better management skills. Anything I can read on my own until we can get that set up would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Parenting & Tinnitus
Hello, Would love to hear from anyone who suffers from tinnitus while having to care for young children. Do you feel it has had an effect on your ability as a parent? Or the responsibility helped with habituation/managing? I’m approx 7/8 weeks in now, having up’s and down’s. But I’m really pushing

Because Y is a crooked letter that cannot be straightened....
Parenting
comes with so many challenges under normal circumstances but these days I've got new challenges to tackle along with the normal
parenting
issues! Sometimes I feel insufficient as a mum these days due to my health.

Parenting After Brain Injury
Then, quite by chance, I found out about Dr Carol Sampson who is involved with a specialist
parenting
programme for parents who have brain injury. It covers adjustments. psychological issues , cognitive issues as well as
parenting
skills development and support.

Twins came early at 30 weeks 6 days
They are now in the Special Care Baby Unit and we are adapting to
parenting
in hospital. Can't believe they are here. We are so blessed! Absolutely perfect little babies.

Relapse?
I should add in that single
parenting
teenagers has been pretty stressful recently, but today in particular, there are somethings that happened that really upset me. Am I having a relapse?

Anyone have any tips on how to help an ADHD preschooler?
I feel so much judgment from others that this is just our bad
parenting
but we get her around other kids her own age and none of them are like how she is. None. Are we just shitty parents for not knowing how to help? I feel like I'm going crazy over here.

Helping son overcome potty accidents (enuresis/encopresis)
We did that for years with the pediatrician ("just keep working on potty training - he'll get it"), and it's one of my biggest
parenting
regrets. Thank you all, in advance, for any thoughts.

World Autism Day/Daily reminder
Growing up, my parents
parenting
was always scrutinized by other parents because everyone thought they were spoiling us when in truth, when my brother was born, there wasn’t a whole lot of resources for people, especially how to raise a child with autism.
