Virtual Support Group - Clubhouse

Hello! I'm going to host my first virtual support group - Finding Focus - on Tuesday, April 20th from 12pm-1pm EST on audio only social media app, Clubhouse. And, I'd love for anyone to join! Please find information below on Finding Focus. My plan is to talk about an ADHD related topic for the first half but then do an open platform/Q&A for engagement. Open to ideas, suggestions etc....

What is Finding Focus?

It’s a discussion group focused on proving a loving, nonjudgmental and encouraging environment for parents and caregivers of children with ADHD to share stories, struggles, strategies and successes. A support group FOR parents and caregivers of ADHD children HOSTED BY parents and caregivers of ADHD children. Finding Focus is a forum to exchange ideas, share resources and encourage each other.

Why are we getting together?

While many medical and informational resources on ADHD in children exist online, there are few focused specifically on parental/caregiver engagement and encouragement. Some of the best information, resources and insights come when we share our experiences and stories. Parenting/caregiving is as important as any other part of ADHD treatment - how we respond can help our children improve & thrive!

Who is Finding Focus for?

Finding Focus is designed for parents and caregivers of children with ADHD.

Finding Focus is created and co-hosted by Jennifer Faust. Jennifer is a working mom who lives in Northern Virginia with her busy family of 3 amazing elementary-aged boys, two of which were diagnosed with ADHD in the last 1 ½ years. She believes in never wasting an experience and that we’re better together.

What exactly do I join to get in the discussion?? Social media app?? Not very tech savvy, lol

Hello! Thank you for your interest. Yes, Clubhouse is a new social media app. You can download it to you phone. It is audio only...like a live podcast. You can just listen on mute or participate. Don't need to worry about what you look like or where you are... I'm happy to do this on another platform as well if anyone has a better suggestion.
