I am looking for advice/help in accepting the status quo, ie my sight journey. I lost sight in one eye due to an eye stroke in December 2022. I am scared and concerned incase my other eye is vulnerable. My optitician I went to first time said I had Gluacoma , and because I attend the eye clinic for observation

Hi, I am currently on 40mg of Adalimumab every 2 weeks but it is not working, the hospital have decided that an infusion of Rituximab is the next step, has anybody else had this treatment and did it work?

Recent PSP diagnosis
Hello everyone. My dad is 75 and for the last 4 years we have been on the understanding that he had gait apraxia. We saw a neurologist today who had been through his history over those years and has now diagnosed PSP-PAGF. I'm scared for him and what the future holds, not just for him, but for us as

Middle ear infection and antibiotics
Hi everyone, I have recently taken a short flight and experienced pain in my ears which is not unusual as the discomfort is usually a problem if I fly. Just as an aside my ears are always very sensitive in the winter months and cause earache. I have had them checked with GP and there is a middle ear

My Bladder Cancer Update.
As I stand now I have my LAST BCG treatment this Thursday, that will be followed in six to eight weeks with a flexy cystoscopy. I am at moment Low Grade - If my cystoscopy shows a tumour, then I will have to go in overnight to have it removed, That would not mean back to High Grade necessarily .

Cellulite
Can underactive thyroid cause really bad cellulite on the inside of the thighs? It is travelling down almost to my knees, one thigh appears worse than the other. I'm not a big person. I'm only age 57 but my skin honestly looks like that of a 70 year old. I did read somewhere that it could cause it,

I can see the exit from the tunnel and the sun is shining.
itās only taken 3 weeks after half a lifetime of RLS for 2 amazing medical professionals to get me on the road to recovery. Having spent over Ā£1k in going in the wrong direction with private medical care I found a Consultant Neurologist, I should say a member of this form found him and passed his name

is yoga ok?
Iāve very recently been diagnosed with glaucoma after losing sight in the top half of my right eye, which has been a real shock. Iāve been going to Yoga and Pilates classes for a number of years, both of which I feel have helped with a back issue and have kept me fit and very active at 67, Iām loath

hi I have had rheumatoid arthritis for five years and scleritis for 1.5 years. I recently started imraldi(bio similar to humira), in feb 2024, after building antibodies to cimzia. since then I have noted small improvements in my joints but my eyes continue to be in a constant flare. Any suggestions

Methionine restricted diet for recurring PSA and positive PMSA pet scan w/ 1 bone met
quick to the point. PSMA pet showed 1 L2 small met and some lymph activity. My PSA went from 2.01 to 2.9 in one month. after doing some research on diets and supplements . I found that the keto diet is extremely high in the amino acid methionine and I made it worse trying to reduce my blood pressure

Very high cholesterol is it linked to an under active Thyroid?
I have asked for a blood test and it's come out at 9,5. I have been getting palpitations lately they hay checked my Thyroid and my levels are fine. I am just concerned because I can't understand why it is so high. I know I'm over weight but I don't have a high fat diet and I walk between 3 and 4 miles

Cialis blues
Severe muscle cramps nighttime in my legs have recently been wrecking my sleep. After reading up, I discovered that pain in legs can be a side effect of tadalafil/ cialis. After quitting, the cramps rapidly receeded and after less than a week no longer appear. I had been taking 5 mg daily for 4-6 months

EC 1mg pred??
I have recently managed to taper to 4mg which means taking all plain tablets. I have had an increase in indigestion/slight heartburn since doing this. I have 3 questions. Is it possible to get 1mg ec? - I'd be willing to pay (if not ridiculous price) If I take some gaviscon (already take 20mg omeprazole

cataract
Hi all, I realise cataracts are commonplace from Steroid use . Iāve had one for years, possibly from a childhood eye injury. Itās now becoming a problem , affecting my sight. Itās Encapsulated, not as straightforward. My main concern is healing. It took a year for my leg to heal. Do you advise
