Can underactive thyroid cause really bad cellulite on the inside of the thighs? It is travelling down almost to my knees, one thigh appears worse than the other. I'm not a big person. I'm only age 57 but my skin honestly looks like that of a 70 year old.
I did read somewhere that it could cause it, something to do with hormones?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Could it be mucin rather than cellulite which maybe a sign that you perhaps haven't optimized your thyroid hormones? Do you have some recent full thyroid panel results?
I lost kilos of fluid once I optimized my fT3 levels
I have never experienced cellulite until I started thyroid hormones. I am a seventy+ year old. Anyway I put it down to partial reduction in mucin as well as my age. My ‘cellulite’ may have been hidden for many years due to the solidity of my mucin. I don’t know. My thyroid meds are sub optimal as yet. No idea whether this stage will improve or not.
