Hashimotos and Vitamin Deficiencies
She gave me the classic reply that I only needed tsh and said that only
parathyroid
conditions
cause vitamin deficiencies. I argued that my vitamin D when I first tested it (many years ago) was 10. So needed loading doses when last tested by nhs, even though I was self supplementing.

Phosphate
Hi Everyone, I have hypocalcemia and PTH insufficiency know as hypoparathyroidism but still a working diagnosis. When I have my bone profile done by blood test my phosphate does not elevate high like they usually do when you have low calcium. It just sits around middle normal range and sometimes low

Article : 'NHS doctors brushed off our condition as menopause – what we suffer from is far worse'
Article from the Mirror about women struggling to get a diagnosis of what turned out to be hyperparathyroidism. It takes many years. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/health/nhs-doctors-brushed-condition-menopause-33179607 Not the best medical/health-related article I've ever read, but isn't very long.

Could I actually have a thyroid issue? Thyroid tests seem fine. Confused, please help
Hi everyone, I’m seeing a functional doctor in Brazil (online, so there’s some limitation) and also working with a few traditional medicine doctors in the UK. I became an useless person over the last year, I went from bright and lively to stupid, fat, insomnia ridden, gold-fish memory, paper thin

Serum parathyroid hormone
Finally, after a year of the labs refusing to test Vit D, I finally had it tested, and as suspected, it was below the bottom of the scale - 23. So back on tablets and spray, and hopefully my leg muscles will start working again... The lab refusing to test has made me ill...grumble, grumble. Anyway

Alarming Thyroid Test Results :(
Hi everyone, I'm new here, nice to meet you all 🥰 I am a bit scared because I received some alarming blood test results. Everything started a couple of months ago when I began experiencing severe episodes of itching all over my body. I went to see my doctor to investigate this issue, and they prescribed

Hyperparathyroidism and Bones
I had primary hyperthyroidism in 2014 with two adenomas removed. It's been a long time since I've had my PTH level checked. I was reading that you should have ongoing annual check-ups of calcium and PTH levels to detect any long-term changes or recurrence of hyperparathyroidism. I feel fine and don't

Could MCAS a possibility?
Hello everyone, I have been wondering for a while if I could have MACS. Last year I was diagnosed with a Raw Pecan allergy, borderline brazil and salami allergy through raw food skin to skin prick testing and given epi pens. My immunologist at the time did not want to risk it as I have asthma and

Stage 3 A chronic kidney disease
One year ago I had a GFR of 60+ . I had a bad fall that tore a foot tendon in half and is inoperable so I was using heavy doses of ibuprofen for pain. after a few months of this my GFR started deteriorating and is now 25 . yesterday a lab result showed Parathyroid Hormone Intact Molecule 125 pg

are CTx numbers supposed to be extremely under range while on prolia?
is that the point of anti resorptive? is P1NP supposed to be upper range on prolia, or lower range on prolia? my Mum's numbers are low. but the tests haven't been done for years, i don't think, and they were run within 3 months of prolia doses, so the ctx would be expected to be low? and Mum's

I am taking synthroid (50 mg) for about 15 years.......after doing my own research there is an effect on bone density. parathyroid
Do any of you have problems with your parathyroid glands? My calcium was slightly over range and PTH was 7.4 just over the higher end of range(7.2) I was wondering if there’s a connection with thyroid problems and parathyroid..I have graves.
