So at 56 having never considered myself to be a runner I decided to have a go at C25K and today I ran the whole 5K (took me 43 mins though - I am SLOW)
Am feeling very proud of myself and thankful to my donor and their family ( I have had a liver transplant for an autoimmune condition) without them I would not even be here and this achievement would not have been possible.
Going to continue my running, try and improve my time and have a go at Parkrun now!
Thanks to everyone on the forum, although I have been a bit of a lurker I have learnt a lot from reading all your posts.

Well done and 🎊 congratulations on completing C25K with week 9 run 3. You are now a graduate 🎓 that word will appear on the right side of your username name 👍😊
Very well done! That is brilliant. 😀. Enjoy the park run. I’m a couple of weeks behind you - but that’s the bit that I’m looking forward to (sort of).
CONGRATULATIONS! That is excellent news.
Life threw you a curveball and you played the game spectacularly well. I am humbled.
I saw a quadruple amputee competing in a triathlon and on my next run I felt yuk. I thought that if they can do it, I damned well can. The same applies to you; if you can, we all can.
What a fantastic way for a donor's gift to be used. Very well done. Keep us all posted on the parkrun. I find it great fun and a flying start to the weekend. Be warned you may end up making friends and buying even more Lycra!
Wow amazing! And such an amazing story too!
You’ve done brilliantly and you’ve got to 5k so it doesn’t really matter how long it takes, 5K!!!! Well done you.
Fantastic Busylady!! You’ve done an amazing job. You have had an amazing gift and your smile says it all. I’m sure your donor and their family would be pleased to know it’s made such a wonderful difference to your life. Brilliant! And a great time for graduation too. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎓🏆❤️
