The OT from the
palliative
care
team came out to see me last week. She has arranged for some equipment for me such as perch stools, raised toilet seat and a mattress adjuster. It is amazing how much difference this equipment has made. I find bending and lying flat really uncomfortable.

MY SISTER’S SYAGE 4 NCLC - UPDATE
We have an appointment with the oncologist on Thursday and one with
palliative
care
on Friday. Is this normal to have a drop in your enzymes? She’s 85 years old and I think her age is not helping. She’s also on an antidepressant which is helping with her attitude and appetite.

The Dr said that she will be signed over to the community
palliative
care
team. Also she had spoken to my mum's oncologist who said that depending on her ct scan and if she's strong enough they may consider further chemotherapy. I personally don't think her body can take much more.

Second line Caelyx and bowel obstruction
The thing that terrifies me is that they have put
palliative
care
nurses in place and arranging home visits they say to help with any symptoms, is this what happens is it just extra help or is there something I don't know.

Scared
I am hoping treatment can be offered and not
palliative
care
. One of the reasons for going private is access to drugs not available on the NHS. My husband and I were due to go to America in July, who knows now if that will happen. The NHS treated me brilliantly the first time.

Update on my dad, stage IV NSCLC, and Help needed
Said it's not bad enough YET to prolong treating the cancer now, will monitor it and evaluate each time, but that he wants to start cancer treatment now rather than
palliative
care
only first.

An intro to LCHF
“For every expert, there is an equal and opposite expert”. -Clarke’s Fourth Law The low-carb high-fat diet has been around for at least 100 years, and it does what it says on the tin: it helps you maintain a healthy weight, it reduces your risk of heart disease and diabetes, and it can often fix niggling

Latest blood report.
Hi all, I got my blood investigations done and report came yesterday. My Hba1c is 5.9 now!. From 16.4 in Jan'17 to 5.9 in jun'18 has been a long but interesting journey of trial and errors. I'm on LCHF diet and my total cholesterol also improved. Now it is 152. Food is the new medicine!😊

Neal Snyder's journey
That day, February 28, he decided he would have no chemo and instead do
palliative
care
(to be followed by hospice) because of his grave condition. The doctors gave him month(s) to a year.

Please help us with NH Lymphoma. My wife is terminal.
In late Dec, she was told by a
palliative
care
doctor that its terminal and has 2 weeks to 6 months to live. Neither of us do any kind of drugs, other than what the doctor prescribes. But I am now beginning to get desperate and so is she. Does anyone know of something that will help?
